We were amazed viewing lots of small-sized icebergs. It is very rare, where I haven't seen before. Then we moved to Diamond Beach. We saw quite a lot of big icebergs standing on a black-colored beach as well. The scenery was good. we saw lots of swans on the beach. Our female guide worked enthusiastically and was quite knowledgeable. I didn't remember her name anymore.
Was good enjoyed a lot would recommend
Thank you very much! It was really professionally organised trip!
Long drive but well worth it, the waterfalls and glaciers were amazing to see up close. Our guide Kristi had a great sense of humour and our driver did a fantastic job getting us around safely. Highly recommend this tour!
This was an excellent tour despite the fact that it rained most of the day. I would highly recommend it.
Could not get tenders boats into the port and port was cancelled by cruise ship. They would not refund anyone. Criminal activity as they are getting hundreds of dollars for not doing anything. Do not book with this company
We are sorry that your cruise ship was unable to tender at Djúpivogur and that you therefore could not join the excursion. However, the tour itself remained scheduled. Your booking became a no-show because the ship was unable to reach the port, which was outside our control. Our standard cancellation terms still apply in these situations. For cruise passengers who want additional protection against last-minute port changes, we also offer an optional cancellation policy on many shore excursions allowing cancellation up to one hour before departure. This option must be added to the booking in advance. When possible, we also try to assist affected guests with an alternative departure from another harbour or an open voucher as a goodwill solution. We understand that the outcome was disappointing, but describing the application of the cancellation policy as “criminal activity” is not accurate or appropriate.
Honestly it is impossible to rate that tour. We were scheduled to do this tour on Saturday August 1st 2026. We were on a cruise ship circling Iceland. The day before, we were docked in Seydisfjordur and scheduled to sail to Djupivogur during the night. Unfortunately, sea conditions did not allow our ship to sail during nightime. Our stop in Djupivogur was cancelled. As soon as we learned it, we informed the tour operator. Their answer was "port cancellation is caused by circumstances outside of our control, we are unable to offer a refund for the missed tour". We were at least hoping for a partial refund....
We are sorry that your cruise ship was unable to sail to Djúpivogur and that you therefore could not join the excursion. However, the tour itself remained scheduled. Your inability to attend resulted from the cruise itinerary change and sea conditions, which were outside our control. Our standard cancellation policy requires at least 24 hours’ notice. Once a booking is inside that period, vehicles, drivers, guides and other operational resources have already been committed, so we are unable to automatically issue a refund because a cruise ship later changes or cancels its port call. For cruise passengers who want additional protection against exactly this type of last-minute disruption, we also offer an optional cancellation policy on many shore excursions allowing cancellation up to one hour before departure. This option must be added to the booking in advance. When possible, we also try to help by offering an alternative excursion from another harbour or an open voucher as a goodwill solution. We understand that you hoped for at least a partial refund, but the booking remained subject to the cancellation terms accepted when it was made.
We could not do this tour because of the wind the tender boots could not be lowered. Bus islandia travel offered us as compensation to rebook an other tour. We did that yesterday 4 of august the Snæfellsnes Peninsula Tour from Grundarfjordur Port!. It was lovely, a great guide with interesting stores. We thank you for this way of compansation.
This is definitely the best experience I had in Iceland! I choose my birthday to go with the guide and it is the best experience ever!! Good kind people, nice scenery and great service!
We were picked up right at the hotel which is better than a lot of other companies. The guide Kristi was not professional. She did not provide information for each viewpoints like the history and volume of waterfalls etc, all she did was just telling us the name of the place and how much we had there. The whole trip, she was mainly talking to the couple from Canada who sat behind her. She’s also very unprofessional by making a comment to that Canadian couple about a customer who had trouble recognizing his hotel when he was dropped off after the trip. To make it worse, she even said to them “I’m so lucky that I have you two today, otherwise, it will be a very difficult day”. That being said, I did give her some credits in adding 2 extra stops.
