Gorgeous natural sights to admire combined with hiking on the glacier with a great glacier guide. The tour guide Skùli was experienced and easy-going despite tight schedule. To the Troll company a small minus from tight schedule - the clients would benefit from changing the structure of the tour since many sights offered not enough time to enjoy of them in a relaxed manner. Otherwise I had a wonderful day!
I went with my fiancé to Bjorn and he really enjoyed the places in the South Coast and the explanations he gave about his country. It was mid-August and we saw a lot of puffins in Reynisfjara (black beach at Vik). For me the best part was the Glacier hiking and we were super happy to have Federico (Pedro) as our guide cause he was very attentive to our security, but also very friendly and fun to keep the spirits up for the physical struggle. Definitely recommend it
I genuinely hope someone reads this review before booking, as this company does a terrible job at communicating what this tour is actually like. Firstly, ill say that the the bus tour operator, Bjorn, was lovely, and none of what im about to share is a reflection of him. But i had two major issues with this tour. 1. Way too little time at black sand beach—for me this was the best part of the whole thing—it was both accessible and uniquely beautiful—black sands, puffins, and stunning rock formations. Yet we only got 45 minutes to see it and have lunch at an extremely crowded restaurant. Insteqd we wasted time at two waterfalls that look like waterfalls everywhere. 2 ok, now the worst part: the hike itself: it was described as “easy to moderate” and doable for anyone who can walk 3 miles. This was NOT the case—it involves q steep, dangerous trek to the glaciars themselves that doesnt match whats on the website—the very rude hike leader didnt share this until we were halfway through it—leaving the three of us who couldnt do the walk to trek back on our to own to the parking lot in the freezing rain, where we waited 2 hours + out in the open while the rest of the group finished the tour. If i had known how difficult the tour was, i would have booked something else. Such a bummer on my last day here. Just sharing so that no one else ends up in the same position, as i dont trust this company to update their description
The best tour we have had yet! Wow wow wow! We are traveling by cruise which means we had only one day to explore The south coast, and this tour was ON POINT! We did rush a bit in our stops however we got to see A LOT in just one day! Great appreciation to BJORN and MIKA, they were a very big bounce to our trip, the best vibe and atmosphere in those two ( we loved their stories and facts ! Added a lot ) (: would recommend this trip to everyone!
Glacier hiking is amazing experience. Must try if you come to Iceland.
Bjorn was a great guide, the waterfalls were nice, and the glacier was interesting. Great experience and a great tour!
Very good tour, glacier hike was awesome but strenuous. I wasn't in shape but manage to survive the hike. Spectacular waterfalls and black sand beach. Day tours are a bit rush so I'm sure multi-day tours are slower pace. Best tour guide Bjorn.
Excellent from start to finish. Bjorn was a wonderful driver and host, very knowledgeable and shared many interesting facts, history, and humor. Our guide for the glacier hike, Mika, was awesome- she gave great explanations and insights and was very patient with use of us who were moving a bit slower! We’re sore, it’s a long day. But what a great adventure. Totally recommend we had a blast!
Bjorn was a great tour guide! Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Touring with Björn was an absolute blast! Not only is he super witty and kept us laughing the whole way, but he was also incredibly attentive to everyone in the group. He answered all our questions effortlessly and paid great attention to every little detail. Thanks to his leadership, our trip was smooth, safe, and packed with wonderful surprises. If you’re coming to Iceland, booking with Björn is a must—highly, highly recommended!
