Commencez au rez-de-chaussée par un voyage à couper le souffle à travers la sculpture baroque. Admirez les chefs-d’œuvre dynamiques du Bernin – Apollon et Daphné, David et Le Viol de Proserpina – ainsi que l’élégante Pauline Bonaparte de Canova. Cette section donne vie au marbre avec émotion, mouvement et drame mythologique.
Continuez à l’étage pour explorer la collection de peinture de classe mondiale de la Galerie. Admirez le réalisme saisissant du Caravage, y compris David avec la tête de Goliath et saint Jérôme. Voyez la délicate Dame à la Licorne de Raphaël, l’énigmatique Amour sacré et profane du Titien et la sensuelle Danaë de Correggio. Cette section présente la puissance émotionnelle et la beauté de l'art italien.
Une fois votre visite terminée, profitez de temps libre dans une exploration autonome des jardins Borghèse. Après avoir quitté la Galerie Borghèse, promenez-vous le long de la Viale dei Pupazzi en direction du Temple d'Esculape, un lac romantique entouré de pins parasols et de statues. Vous pouvez louer une chaloupe ici pour une pagaie rapide ou simplement vous détendre et prendre des photos. Suivez ensuite les panneaux en direction de Pincian Hill Terrace (Terrazza del Pincio) – l’un des meilleurs points de vue de Rome. De là, profitez d'une vue imprenable sur la Piazza del Popolo et les toits de la ville, parfaits pour des photos ou un moment de paix.
Descendez le sentier ombragé en direction du Casina Valadier, un café-bar historique aux terrasses panoramiques, idéal pour un café, un apéritif ou un déjeuner léger. De là, les visiteurs peuvent soit explorer davantage le parc à leur propre rythme – comme le Théâtre du Globe, le Cinéma dei Piccoli ou les Jardins Borghèse – soit se diriger lentement vers la Piazza del Popolo pour rentrer dans l’agitation de la ville.

The Borghese Gallery is amazing on its own, it can be overwhelming because of the quantity and quality of the art collection. But what made our tour unforgettable was our amazing tour guide, Riccardo! He knew the details, the history, and the "why" behind each piece and made our experience SO much better!! We highly recommend this tour, and ask for Riccardo--he's the absolute bestest!! Entry, tickets, crowd in the gallery, and meeting up were super easy and Riccardo handled the few hiccups with professional grace and kindness. This is easily the best way to see the Borghese!!

The gallery limits to 180 tickets per hour, and you have to leave after 2 hours. Lorena was our guide and she was amazing! She made sure she saw the highlights in our limited time. She explained the Bernini sculptures so that they literally took on life. I learned so much from her and will have a much better appreciation of sculpture in the future.

Actually a beautiful exhibition, but not worth 99 euros or more per ticket. It feels terrible when the ticket can be purchased on-site at Villa Borghese for 16 euros. Yes, you wait 1 to 2 hours, so what? Unfortunately, the organizer is unwilling to end the artificially high ticketing through private intermediaries.
