Very knowledgeable and personal guide. Walked most of downtown and tried a hot dog made with lamb. Very good.
Thank you.
30 years of traveling the world and this was our favorite tour ever. Lalli was incredible knowledge, great with the kids, and a fabulous storyteller. We highly recommend this tour and would gladly do it again.
Wow, that is one fantastic review. Thank you.
Come hungry! Tour guide was pleasant and easygoing, food was delicious. This is well worth paying for - you will not be disappointed!
Kærar þakkir for the kind words.
Lalli is an excellent, expressive storyteller who shared Iceland’s history in short segments as we toured the city, keeping our attention throughout the tour. His English skills are superb. And we even got to sample the famous hotdog!
Thank you for the lovely feedback :)
The guide was knowledgeable well prepared witty and entertaining. Absolutely the best one can ask for!
Thank you!
Lalli did a great job. In 2 1/2 hours we got a walking tour of much of the central portion of Reykjavik, which came with an unvarnished version of 1,200 years of the history of Iceland. We walked through the Einar Jónsson sculpture garden, wandered through the streets with Lalli pointing out buildings and houses with distinctive styles. We went into City Hall, which has an amazing three-dimensional map of Iceland that is the largest map of the country in the world. Lalli pointed out the various geological features (glaciers, active volcanoes, fjords, and towns). While we were walking He also highlighted the locations of several museums and other places to visit. A very well spent morning, learning more about Iceland in general and Reykjavik’s history and development.
Thank you :)
The Funky History Walking Tour of Reykjavik was definitely a highlight of our Iceland trip, and that's saying something in such an amazing country. I almost didn't buy tickets for our three teenage boys expecting them to be "bored" but they all said it was one of their favorite parts of the trip! The three hours literally flew by as our tour guide Lalli walked us through the history of the country and city in the most engaging way. He was truly an fantastic storyteller, spacing out the landmarks on our walk with perfect places to sit and listen, and a cliffhanger to segue into the next location keeping all ages locked in the whole time. He even included famous Icelandic hot dogs for everyone so none of our kids even had a chance to complain about being hungry. (It also helped that we had a beautiful sunny morning for walking.) I now have an even greater appreciation for this amazing country and history. I can't recommend this tour highly enough - thank you Lalli!
The highest form of compliment is definitely the one that comes from the mouth of a teenager :) Thank you for joining us and for sharing your positive review.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are happy you joined us for a walk.
We had a great tour with Lalli despite the terrible rain. He covered the entire history of Iceland in an entertaining storytelling manner. Tour started at the Leif Erickson statue at Hallgrimskirkja Church and ended at Bæjarins Beztar Pylsar, the oldest hot dog stand in tow, with the famous Icelandic Hotdog. This tour is well worthbit.
Thank you for braving the rain and joining us :)
Lalli was awesome, he was extremely knowledgeable and answered all the questions my group had to the best of his abilities. The tour goes from Icelands beginning to the current modern history today. The traditional Icelandic hotdog was a pleasant suprise at the end also, try it with everything you will be delighted.
Thank you for the lovely words. We are happy you enjoyed the tour.
