We did the tour on the 27th of July from Shangri-La. The pick-up was smooth, but having participated in a couple of snorkeling tours in Asia this was by far the worst: we arrived after immense traffic late, someone arrived without greeting us And no one new what was going on. We were shuttled to the terminal where we had to in speed sign some waiver (no information why). No information on what will happen and how. Then we were told to hurry up as the weather is going to be bad - at this point I was asking myself why we are going at all…. As I am used to operators calling of snorkling when weather is about to get uncomfortable. We were put on a boat at 9ish with 16 people not as Amazing Borneo advertised max 12. Then still no Information where we are going and what is about to happen. Frankly the included English guides spoke maybe 10 sentences for the whole trip. No information on the island and on the fish. They just spoke to each other. One of them slept on the boat. The snorkling as such was chaotic- no advise, no support where to snorkel. Just “go here and stay here”. The instructors were just in the water swimming in different directions. The first stop was completely useless as there was nothing to see. The second was ok. Then we stopped for lunch where the heavy rain started to come down. We were told a 3rd snorkel is a group decision but as one of the guides said “it is too windy and there will be nothing to see “. This sounded really encouraging. We left the island before 2… I am ok paying a price but it needs to Match quality over the desire to make Money. If I would do it again: do not book A tour. Go to the jetty yourself. It cheaper and the same experience with less frustrations.
We booked the specific hotel offer, which included pickup and drop off direct to Shangri-La Rasa Ria. I traveled with my two children age 6 and 9, and my mother who is in her 70s. My primary concern was to make sure the comfortable for them. Booking with Amazing Borneo Tours was excellent. Everything was comfortable and easy on the family. Everyone had a great time. Our guide was wonderful. Super patient with the kids. Incredibly helpful to make sure the day went well for us and we could do all the things we wanted to do.
Very well run tour from Rasa Ria to Sapi Island and Manukan . Guide was excellent and great lunch included.
Great trip, nice snorkeling. We got to see Scorpion Fish, Snowflake Moray Eel, Pufferfish, Giant Triggerfish, Clowfish, needlefish, juvenile batfish and many more common reef fish. To bad the corals are in just as bad shape as many other places in Asia
This was an amazing snorkelling experience. Jordanne the virtual tour manager was polite and super helpful as she and her team organised a prescription mask for me as I forgot mine. During the tour the dive guides and skipper were funny, personable and super helpful. They ensured our safety while participating in this experience and we had a great time with them. Not to mention the spots we snorkelled at were well chosen! Would highly recommend this tour!
Thank you so much Joey for making sure all my needs are met and I have a pleasant experience. She listened to my needs thoroughly and ensure everything are in orders. The whole trip is extremely smooth and I get to experience the real Sabah hospitality
Sorry but the guy at the reception who sold me the tour didn't know about the product he's selling! The tour was Manukan and Sapi island, ok... I wanted to see also Gaya but no they didn't so the day before the tour went myself to Gaya island, could've also gone to Sapi, but I was going the day after so I thought to skip... the day of the tour, once already on bord of the boat, I ask the crew and they told "no, we don't go to Sapi"... only Manukan and Mamutik (never mentioned). The snorkel were ok, the crew of SeaTango are nice and friendly. Also they could've mentioned they had the Diving option, I would've done the scuba option.. anyway, 1 star review for the bad communication and not knowing the product you sell if you are a travel agency... that's not good, tourists rely on what they tell you cos they're supposed to know the product best. Such a pity.

Very nice holiday and very well organized and managed by our tour operator Anthony, who assisted us also for some change of plan
The tour giude Neil, is amiacable and helpful.always punctual for pick up and still smiling after late outing. He is the billboard of good service for amazing borneo.
Really disappointing. The tour was shared with a diver which meant a lot of time waiting for them and sorting dive gear. We only went to two spots and the visability was poor. The guides spent a lot of the time on their phones, really unengaging. We spent most of our time on Mumitik Island which was overcrowded and the guides quite obvioulsy couldnt wait to leave.
