Le premier arrêt sera d'aller pêcher où vous découvrirez les meilleurs spots de pêche en compagnie de nos guides et capitaines locaux qui vous transmettront les secrets d'une bonne pêche et vous aurez l'occasion de vivre une rencontre rapprochée avec les merveilleux la vie marine d'Holbox comme les dauphins qui semblent nous surprendre à plusieurs reprises. Nos guides partageront les techniques les plus utilisées et les plus anciennes pour attraper des poissons de petite et moyenne taille tels que le bar, le mérou, le vivaneau, la blonde, le chac chi et la mojarra, entre autres, de quoi préparer un délicieux ceviche.
Plus tard, nous nous rendrons dans une autre réserve naturelle de Cabo Catoche, de belles cuevones marines où nous ferons de la plongée avec tuba où, avec un peu de chance, nous pourrons observer des requins-chats, des raies manta, des hippocampes, des poissons perroquets, des étoiles de mer et de nombreuses espèces de poissons.

This tour made for a lovely day, our guides made everything really enjoyable. They were super nice and thoughtful, kept us well hydrated, and taught us how to fish--we caught three! We saw dolphins, a sea turtle, little sharks, rays, and lots of fish (though they weren't so colorful, the other animals were more of the highlight). The ceviche they made was wonderful and we enjoyed making new friends on the boat. All in all a great day, highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish! We were picked up directly from our hotel and taken to the pier, where we were greeted by our two capis for the day. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting information about the island and the fish we caught. We spent about an hour and a half fishing and had a great time reeling in some nice catches. After fishing, we headed closer to shore for snorkeling, where we were lucky enough to see stingrays and even a few baby sharks up close—an unforgettable experience! Once we finished snorkeling, we relaxed on a beautiful beach while the crew prepared a delicious fresh meal using the fish we had caught. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the locals, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and soak in the beauty of the island. Overall, the entire trip exceeded our expectations. My nephew and brother had an incredible time, and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. The crew made us feel welcome from beginning to end, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, authentic, and memorable day on the water. We would definitely do it again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing Cape Catoche experience with XtremeHolbox. The perfect combination of fishing, snorkeling and pristine beaches. To catch our own fish and then enjoy a fresh ceviche prepared at the moment was unforgettable. Great day out on the boat with the crew! Caught some yummy fish for ceviche lunch, saw baby dolphins learning to swim with their mothers, explored the farthest tip of the island - Cabo Catoche. Highly recommend!

I think it’s important for people to know upfront that this tour takes place in very rough sea conditions. The ride is extremely bumpy and can feel quite jarring. The boats are small, flat-bottomed fiberglass skiffs with outboard motors, which don’t handle large swells particularly well. A significant portion of the day—about 4.5 hours—is spent at sea, with only around 1 hour actually at Cabo Catoche for snorkeling. Was it worth the money? maybe, though it makes for a very long and physically demanding day on the water. Would I do it again? Definitely not. I found the guides adequate but not terribly compassionate to people’s indication that the rough seas were an issue. I need to mention as well that while it was not our group, there was a boat that hooked a small baby shark while fishing and kept it. Specifically the captain made the decision to keep it. The group had a video of the mother shark swimming frantically around afterwards and were boasting about this. Apparently baby shark is used in some common Mexican dishes. This was a grave display of cruelty. All groups present on Cabo Catoche that day were from Extreme Holbox tours. Very disappointed to see this behavior.

Regarding the duration, Cabo Catoche is a remote and relatively untouched destination, which naturally requires considerable navigation time. Nevertheless, we take your feedback seriously and will continue improving how we communicate the full experience. We also appreciate your comments about the guides. Regarding the situation you mentioned about the shark, we would like to clarify that in this region there is a regulated traditional fishery, where species such as “cazón” are part of the local gastronomy. Great guide and boat Captian, they were very kind and knowledgeable people. That being said it is a very long day (mechanical issues made ours 8.5 hours) on a small boat in rough seas with no bathroom. You must be prepared for that.

Fishing and having fresh made ceviche was great. But overall, the experience left a lot to desire. The island we visited was nothing special and certainly not better than holbox, the fishing spot took like 1.5 hours to get to and there was no music or anything to make it fun, the guides did the bare minimum (im dont recall them telling us their names). I do not recommend this trip.
