L'excursion commence à Puerto Limon où vous pourrez profiter d'une vue panoramique sur la ville, découvrir son histoire et faire une promenade en bateau à travers les canaux de Tortuguero. L'excursion s'arrête également à côté d'une plantation de bananes pour que vous puissiez déguster quelques délicieux fruits tropicaux, et vous visiterez le Parc national de Cahuita. Un minibus climatisé sera disponible pour le transfert depuis et vers le port.

Profitez d'un bref tour de ville autour de la ville de Limon, où votre guide partagera une partie de la culture et de l'histoire de ce port. Vous visiterez également un point de vue, une excellente occasion de prendre une photo panoramique de la ville et des quais des navires.
Profitez d'une heure et demie de croisière sur les canaux de Tortuguero dans un bateau couvert. Votre guide vous indiquera les plantes et les animaux de la région et vous fera mieux connaître la riche biodiversité de la région.
En savoir plus sur les plantes tropicales et leurs fruits. Découvrez les plantes et les arbres réels, et ayez également quelques échantillons de ces délicieux fruits dans un kiosque de fruits rustique avant de vous diriger vers le parc national de Cahuita. Si vous avez envie de faire du shopping, vous pouvez également visiter la boutique de souvenirs contiguës.
Les bananes sont une grande partie de l'économie costaricienne et une grande activité à Puerto Limon. Arrêtez-vous à côté de la plantation de bananes de Chiquita pour en savoir plus sur la culture, la récolte et l'expédition des fruits. Veuillez noter: nous ne serons pas autorisés dans l'usine de transformation en raison de la réglementation.
Profitez d'une randonnée d'une heure à travers le magnifique parc national de Cahuita avec votre guide. Vous aurez la chance de voir encore plus d'animaux et de plantes exotiques. Avec de belles conditions météorologiques, vous pouvez également profiter de la plage parallèle au sentier.
Un court arrêt dans une épicerie locale, où vous pouvez acheter du café costaricain ou d'autres produits à des prix raisonnables si vous le souhaitez, et vous renseigner également sur le coût général de la vie à Puerto Limon, au Costa Rica.

Rupert was/is the best guide ever! He was so passionate about his country, nature and the tour - we can only say: thank you for one of the best days we ever had. He found so many sloths for us - it was incredible! A very nice and warm person, always trying to show and explain us everything around, in a very relaxed atmosphere - no hurry, no tourist masses..... we highly recommend to do a tour with Rupert - it was only us and will remain unforgettable! We thoroughly enjoyed this small-group tour with Cabrito. He drove us safely, spoke excellent English and could not have worked harder to give us the best experience in a few hours. The canal excursion was relaxing, and we loved our walk through the beautiful forest by the sea at Cahuita National Park. He was a great spotter of wildlife and very willing to answer all our questions. Highly recommended! And of course he got us back to the ship in perfect time.

The tour as such was well organized and gives great impressions of the wonderful nature and diverse wildlife of Costa Rica. However, our guide made the day special. We were the last to get off the ship. They waited for us and this magnificent adventure began. From the Tortuguero canal to the fruit stand to the banana plantation to the peanut park, spectacular organization, treatment especially with my young child, good value for money, I totally recommend it.

Very well organized from start to finish. Interesting boat ride on the river but was expecting more from the national park.

We had booked the tour as part of our Central America cruise and right at the beginning it should be emphasized: It was our best shore excursion this holiday. The booking process via TripAdvisor was hassle-free. On the positive side, we noticed that although we booked 9 months before, we received an email with all the necessary instructions immediately afterwards. Directly at the port exit, we were met by a sign with our name from Relax Day Tours staff and assigned to our guide, Markus - who was just a lucky shot for us. Markus explained in detail during the trips about the country and people, the local customs and other interesting topics. He was always authentic and highly committed. Whether sailing through the Tortuguero Canals or walking through Cahuita National Park, he was always looking for wildlife to show to his guests. We also loved the fact that he repeatedly exchanged ideas with other guides about interesting animal sightings. The highlight, however, was visiting his own garden with many tropical plants, tasting freshly picked star fruits or cocoa beans, as well as several animals, such as sloths, spiders and snakes. The tour went straight to the canals after the port. The navigation was very interesting, we could see howler monkeys, a sloth, several iguanas as well as a boa, all of which were shown to us by Mark or the ship's captain. Afterwards we drove to a fruit stand where we were allowed to taste several fresh tropical fruits. Pleasant was that, as is otherwise the case, we were not actively approached about sales offers. Afterwards, we drove past the banana plantations, which are no longer allowed to be visited, to the garden and then to the national park, which we used for further animal visits and also for a swim in the tropical warm sea. We can only recommend this tour.
