Excursion d'une journée à Angra dos Reis et Ilha Grande

The tour started with delays, and while I understand that weather conditions are not the organization's fault, the bad weather and low temperatures significantly affected the activity. Additionally, the stops were very short, everything was done in a hurry. As an additional point, we were charged an extra fee of 30 reais per person that was not clearly communicated at the time of booking the service, which caused dissatisfaction.

Good morning! The tour was so great! Everything was so beautiful, priced well and we had an amazing time! We got to see so many different kinds of fish and meet so many people! The guides were amazing from the start and so helpful! They had fun themselves and were there for anything that anyone needed. They were like the life of the party and knew all of the guests. The lunch was delicious! We all went back for seconds and the deserts that were being sold were amazing too!

On this occasion, we decided to stay in Barra de Tijuca. It was a good choice; the area is very quiet but at the same time has quality services. There are first-class hotels, places to eat and have fun, as well as supermarkets or small businesses where you can enjoy the dish of the day for a few reais. Due to the distance, we often used the Metro, which is extremely reliable and simple for getting around. Although in some cases we used a rideshare service, and it worked wonderfully. We did not take many excursions because the weather did not allow it. On our own, we visited the Catete Palace, the Selarón Steps, and the Botafogo Beach terraces, which are highly recommended. We hired Journeys for private transfers to the airport with highly trained staff, resulting in a safe, comfortable, and very punctual service.

Let me start with pickup which was scheduled for 720am and finally the Bus showed at 750am, the tour guide was giving the excuse that the streets are narrow, I actually wanted to tell him this is not your first rodeo, but I kept as I had to spend the entire day. After pickup at 750 we were in the bus for other pickups until 955am. Then we started on the two hours drive to boat. When we arrived we had to walk through residential streets as the bus could not go inside (felt very weird). I wish they had made one stop on the way for 15mins so people could stretch. On the bus the tour guide came with up sells for the trip. Snorkeling gear and jet ski rides. I got the snorkeling package on the bus ride to boat, when we got onboard they were still trying to organize who purchased what. We reached the first island and the stop was 30minutes, I asked the tour guide where is the gear. He brought the gear after 10 to 12mins at the stop. I was furious because this could have been handled upon boarding not till we got to location. I was completely disappointed and thought would have been option to get a speedboat for 5hours with family instead of 14-15hours of suffering. They designed the lunch stop at 3rd so they can sell snacks and drinks until 3rd stop, the food quality was not great at lunch restaurant. Final twist was the tour guide asking us to pay additional Brazilian Reas 30 person in cash or 31.50 by card to enter the city of Rio. This was really seemed weird plus the boat location for drop off was in a dark area as if this was not a approved service. No lights at drop off. I hope anyone thinking of using them will stay away as there are some legit operators but this felt very shady.

The bad: HUGE tour group. Completely packed tour bus. Still plenty of room on the boat though. The buffet was odd and not the greatest. I found stuff to eat, but it was garlic noodles and fried chicken. Drinks were expensive on the boat. The good: My tour guide was the sweetest! Elanee (probably spelled wrong. Sorry) was very kind and communicated well. The boat was a lot of fun. They played great music. I had a ton of fun dancing and swimming. This tour has the timing down perfectly too. Just about the moment I thought, "okay, I'd like to move on" it was time to go! And there was as many fish as advertised at the blue lagoon! Would highly recommend, and I would love to go again! (I do wish the food was better though)

I loved the activity. The boat was very good. We swam in 2 very beautiful places. Very beautiful landscapes. Good lunch.

Nice excursion but not as well as described. Already they forget to tell us about the 2h45 bus to take the boat and the same to go home. Then just arrived on the bus that we are asked to pay extras (port taxes, as if they can not be included), rental of the mask and snorkel (10 euros charged 70 real so we are charged 14 euros...), and extras like jet ski (6 minutes!) and the photos they propose to take of us. Big boat but overcrowded, and absolutely everything pays off on the boat. The only free thing is a stop with a buffet on an island amid a dancing crowd of tourists. There is a beach but there are so many people walking from one restaurant to another that you can’t land there. Stopping in areas with not so clear water, normal we stop in areas where all boats stop so the bottoms are more than stirred, we see some fish, no turtle (photo of the commercial). The last stop is of no interest (shaded beach delimited by a wire fence, and a closed church in the middle of the forest...).

Excellent guide, we were very well served by the guide. Excellent professional, and as a very nice person. We were super satisfied.

They need to say the truth about this trip. This is a literally a WHOLE day trip. They tell you be half an hour early but they can either come at the exact time or later from the location that they are picking you up. They dont tell you they are picking other’s customers and that might take multiple hrs, yes multiple. You technically are at your stop between 6:30 am / 7 am and get pick up during that time or by 8 am like we did, or even later, yes later. Some customers got picked up around 9 am, yes 9. The ride is about 3 hrs but it can be more if they are also picking more passengers on their away. You get to the first stop around 12pm, and you start heading back around 5/6 pm. The whole experience is nice however it takes a lot of time. You get back to rio around 9 pm or 10 pm depending on your stop. So please aware in case you want to schedule it.
