Elafonisi est une péninsule qui est souvent divisée en deux parties par l'eau, créant l'illusion d'être sa propre île séparée. Il possède des caractéristiques distinctives telles qu'une plage exotique au sable blanc immaculé et aux eaux turquoise éblouissantes, rappelant les Caraïbes. Le sable de la plage prend une teinte rosée dans de nombreuses régions, en raison des millions de coquillages broyés qui contribuent à sa coloration. La visite à Elafonisi offre une combinaison unique d'activités, y compris une visite d'un monastère pittoresque et ancien, une excursion sur la plage et une route panoramique à travers divers paysages. Nous commencerons la visite en visitant la plage d'Elafonisi pendant environ 2 heures, puis deux plages plus petites et moins fréquentées. (+durée de conduite 1,5 heure) Accès gratuit à la plage
Un arrêt supplémentaire au monastère de Chrisoskalitissa (perché sur un rocher de 35 m de haut avec une vue imprenable sur la mer) est fortement recommandé car c'est l'un des plus beaux monastères de l'île et également situé entre les deux petites plages que j'ai mentionnées ci-dessus. le droit d'entrée est de 2,5 €
Voulolimni est situé à environ 500 m au nord-ouest du monastère de Chrysoskalitissa. Il s'agit en fait d'un petit cratère, entouré de rochers, formant un petit lac marin. C'est-à-dire qu'il ne s'agit pas réellement d'une plage, mais de la «piscine» rocheuse pour les habitants du village de Chrysoskalitissa.
Aspri limni Aspri Limni est l'une des plages les plus étranges de Crète, que presque personne ne connaît. C'est une petite plage secrète, située à 500m à l'ouest du monastère de Chrysoskalitissa. La plage exotique voisine d'Elafonissi attire des milliers de visiteurs. Cependant, personne n'a entendu parler de ce magnifique endroit voisin. La plage a du sable fin et blanc et des rochers par endroits et des rochers pointus l'entourent, rappelant un petit lac blanchâtre à l'intérieur de la mer.
Sur le chemin du retour vers La Canée (par la côte ouest de la Crète), nous pouvons nous arrêter à la plage de Sfinari pour déjeuner dans un restaurant de poisson servant du poisson et des fruits de mer fraîchement pêchés. Des options alternatives pour les restaurants sont disponibles sur la plage de Falasarna. En conséquence, vous visiterez la Crète du sud-ouest au nord-ouest (vous profiterez également de paysages incroyables en conduisant). (+ 1h de route pour rejoindre le restaurant) (+ 1 heure de route pour retourner à La Canée)

This was an incredible day on Crete getting a feel for life on the island. Yiannis was super kind and friendly and let us get a feel for how the local people have lived here for generations. Saw beautiful beaches and mountains. The culture is rich in tradition and family. Ate an incredible seafood meal that was so fresh and delicious. Loved every minute of this tour. Highly recommend this tour!

Yiannis was the best tour guide. Very flexible with our meeting time as we were coming from the ship docking at port. He informed us hen he arrived and where to find him. Talked with us about his country and the island. Gave us options as to what we wanted to do since it was our day. Went to Elafonisi beach and had towels for us to use. Brought us to a wonderful Greek restaurant for lunch before returning us to the port in time to board our ship. Highly recommend Yiannis as a tour guide for the day.

Yiannis was unbelievable! Great communication and really listens to his clients. He will adjust the tour to your needs and wants. Very clean Mercedes van with a provided cooler of drinks and beach towels. Elafonissi beach is absolutely gorgeous with crystal clear water! We stayed for about an hour and a half and then visited 2 other beaches that are much smaller but also very pretty. We chose the longer drive home that allowed us to follow the mountains along the coastline. We even stopped at his uncle’s fish restaurant that was sooo delicious! Highly recommend this tour or any other tour with Yiannis!

Yiannis was amazing! You will not regret booking a tour with this local! Yiannis shared”his” Crete with us. Elafonisi beach was beautiful, but the cultural, historical insight Yiannis provided truly made the experience exceptional. Vehicle was impeccable, comfortable, and the driver was safe. We are so thankful we got to spend a day exploring the beautiful island with this professional Cretan 😎

Crete was beautiful!! Thanks to our guide Yiannis for showing us all around his home island. We got to ride all through the countryside and saw sooooo many olive trees (Crete has 34 million🤯), goats, sheep, fig trees and donkeys. We also saw several cats, which Robert Berry was thrilled at😂. We went to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Elafonisi beach has millions of tiny pink sea shells making the sand look pink and there is crystal clear blue water. We went to a Monastery on the top of a mountain and the rode for a couple hours to a seafood restaurant right in the waterfront. I had a grouper grilled over charcoals (it was just caught a few hours before we arrived), John Robert had lamb chops, Robert Berry had the fried baby shrimp(with heads and tails still attached😱) and Juleigh Vena had a hamburger 😂. It was so good!! The restaurant brought me a freshly caught cuttlefish to try. Then some Greek donut holes with honey and cinnamon on them (can’t remember the name). We were worn out and came back to the boat full of food and memories. ❤️
We were a group of 4 females on this tour. Yiannis was a wonderful guide. We started with the pink beach, then a private cozy cove, followed by a drive through the mountains. He gives you clear options to tailor the experience to what you would want to do. I would suggest some form of swimming shoes for the private cove, as the rocks could be tricky getting in. He provides towels, snorkeling equipment, water/soda. He is very a knowledgeable regarding the area. We even saw his cousin briefly! I absolutely would recommend using him if you want a quality tour!
