Embarquez pour un safari d'une journée passionnante au parc national de Mikumi, le quatrième plus grand parc national de Tanzanie, où vous aurez l'occasion d'observer sa faune et sa beauté naturelles variées. L'aventure commence par un vol depuis Zanzibar, suivi d'une exaltante balade en voiture dans le parc. Votre voyage commence par une prise en charge matinale à votre hôtel, transportée à l'aéroport pour votre vol vers Mikumi. À votre arrivée, vous embarquerez pour un voyage en safari partagé, guidé par des conducteurs expérimentés qui vous transmettront leurs connaissances approfondies de la faune et du terrain local. En traversant le parc, vous aurez droit à la vue de la faune tanzanienne dans son habitat naturel. À l'approche de la mi-journée, vous vous adonnerez à un déjeuner de brousse au milieu de la nature avant de poursuivre votre exploration du parc. Dans l'après-midi, vous retournerez sur la piste d'atterrissage pour votre vol de retour vers Zanzibar. À l'atterrissage, un transfert sera organisé pour vous ramener à votre hote.

Pendant le déjeuner, vous resterez proche de la nature avec une vue incroyable.

Jambo !!! In summary and on a positive note, everything was excellent (the transfer/driver, the organization, our Safari guide, the punctuality, …). On the negative side, we were assigned a very old, deteriorated, uncomfortable car for the safari; the driver sometimes had to start it by crossing wires by hand. In short, the car was in very bad condition and it felt unsafe to travel in it. I don't know how a company like yours allows clients to be taken in a car in this condition, when you have other vehicles that are totally newer, more modern, and more comfortable. It was the worst car of all those that were on the safari. What bothered us is that we saw other cars from your same safari company that were much newer, more comfortable, modern, and safe. We even saw a car from your company with only two clients, whereas in ours, there were 8 clients. It is not understood. The truth is that in this aspect, the experience lowered its quality and made us feel different from other clients of yours who were in much better cars. But except for the car issue, the experience was totally unique. Thank you very much. Regards,

Saga Expedition delivered an amazing safari experience. Our driver Ernest was outstanding — safe, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Raymond was excellent as well: professional, experienced, and he taught me so much about the animals and their behaviour. A truly memorable safari with a team that goes above and beyond.

I was very disappointed with our safari experience in Mikumi National Park. While seeing the wildlife was incredible, the overall standard of the tour raised several concerns. The driving was often uncomfortable and, at times, felt unsafe. The roads were extremely bumpy, there were no seatbelts provided, the vehicle frequently smelled of exhaust fumes, and the driver appeared to be speeding on several occasions. Although I understand that English may not have been the guide’s first language, communication was frustrating throughout the trip. Questions were often ignored or left unanswered, and instead of providing information about the wildlife, the guide would frequently start driving away or make jokes that nobody seemed to understand, creating an awkward atmosphere. My biggest concern was the apparent lack of consideration for animal welfare. On multiple occasions, vehicles drove far too close to wildlife, causing animals to move away. The most concerning incident involved a lion resting in the shade during the heat of the day. Our vehicle approached so closely that the lion snarled and was forced to move from the shade into direct sunlight. Responsible wildlife tourism should prioritise the wellbeing of animals and minimise disturbance to their natural behaviour. Overall, while the wildlife itself was remarkable, I left feeling disappointed by the standards of guiding, safety, and respect shown towards the animals.

We visited as part of our holiday to Zanzibar, and indeed going on Safari was part of the reason we went. The day started early with a smooth transition to the airport, where there was a small delay due to a sudden downpour. Nevertheless we were soon on our way with at least one of us (me) genuinely excited about the flight, never mind the safari! :-). Anyway, we had a thoroughly enjoyable day, with Barack, our guide giving us full info as to what we saw. Sadly we didn’t see any big cats, but unlike some reviewers on here, we understand that it’s never a guarantee. We did see all the other animals and probably had the most interactions with elephants which was a highlight for us. No doubt doing a 2 or 3 day safari might bring more to the table, but one day is perfectly adequate, and definitely a bucket list event!

So, first of all, I was only informed about the pick-up time at 19:00 the day before, and only after I contacted Beach & Safari. I received the e-mail with the pick-up time and the flight details around 7:30 p.m. It said the pickup would be at 6:00 a.m. At 22:00 I then received another email in which the pick-up time was moved to 4:00 in the morning. I was really lucky to see that, as I actually wanted to sleep by this time. I was also lucky to have internet access at that time, which is not always the case here. The pickup went smoothly, as did the flight. During the safari it was annoying that we had to wait in the jeep for an hour and a half because other vehicles were stuck on the roads and could not move forward or backward. Shouldn’t tractors be available at such problem areas to pull the vehicles out quickly? According to the driver, this is more common. We therefore saw only two lions, and even those only partially and from a great distance. We could not detect other predators as the roads were closed. After an hour and a half of wasted time, we returned to the airfield where we had lunch. Then the driver drove us another lap around the airfield before taking us back to the plane. Honestly, I expected more from the safari. Too bad about all the money.
