Easy transfer from Naples directly to the entrance, with the entry ticket included. Communication from inStazione was excellent, and the audioguide details and ticket were provided at the pickup point. We were then walked to the bus, and the driver was great, driving carefully and safely to Vesuvius and back to Naples. The two hours provided at Vesuvius was ample time to reach the furthest point, while still allowing time for refreshments and souvenirs. There is no guide provided at Vesuvius, but this really isn’t necessary giving you the freedom to do the hike at your own pace making the experience more enjoyable. A very well-organised, hassle-free experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!
Sara was an excellent guide, she sent detailed information where to meet her. She told us what to expect, how to get to the top of Vesuvius and how to work the app. The day out was a great experience, we drove up to the park and then were given 2 hours to walk to the top and back. This is ample time. Wear suitable shoes, the ground is not level and lots of loose rocks, we saw people in flip flops which we thought was not appropriate!! The views from the top are breathtaking. We really enjoyed this trip.
Great transfer to the entrance of the Vesuvius accompanied by the guide Ettore
Today we spent the day at Mount Vesuvius. It was very hot, but the experience was definitely worth it! We were lucky to have Hector as our guide. He was incredibly kind, patient, and friendly with everyone in the group. He also gave us some great tips for our stay in Naples and even offered us discounts on other tours. Thank you, Hector, for making the day so enjoyable. We highly recommend him and this agency!
Our guide was Ettore. He gave us all the information in Spanish. Everything was very good with him. Duration of more than two hours to do the excursion, more than enough time. Spectacular views. It's worth it. Keep in mind the footwear... people with flip-flops... instead of sneakers...
Overall, I think this trip was worth the price we paid. Basically what you're paying for is an easy trip from Naples from Vesuvius - rather than making your own way there by public transport. In this regard, I can't fault the tour operator who organised this trip. We arrived at the meeting point in the main railway station in Naples, which was very easy to find. The small coach was parked close to the station, so it didn't take long to get moving once the group had assembled. The driver made good speed to the carpark close to the top of Vesuvius. We were provided with tickets to get through the entrance gates, and were allowed enough time to walk to the summit, buy some souvenirs, and use the toilet before making our way back (just under 2 hrs). One of the group missed the coach back - the driver waited a few minutes, but then headed back to Naples pretty close to the agreed departure time. The airconditioning in the coach was most welcome on the drive back to Naples! The downloadable audio guide is a little bit poor, to be honest, and you don't really need it to enjoy the trip. Vesuvius itself is brilliant, and totally worth a visit. I can see why some people would want to combine it with a visit to Pompeii - but we found Pompeii quite exhausting (as well as amazing), so were glad we did it as two separate trips.
Very good, I highly recommend
We enjoyed hiking on Vesuvius. The proximity to the crater and the view were impressive. There are a few interpretive signs related to nature, and those present could be updated. I would have liked there to be some related to major historical events or the structure of the volcano.
This is basically a transfer from Naples to Vesuvius but it was worth it because driving the switchbacks and narrow roads was very dangerous. Our guide, Ettore, communicated via WhatsApp with video and picture on the meeting point. He also sent us a link to download an audio guided. There was a change in meeting time from 9 AM to 10 AM which was a little annoying considering we were trying to avoid the afternoon heat while climbing. Overall, it was well organized and worth the money.
Simply fantastic excursion. Our guide Ettore made us have a wonderful day and with his cheerfulness he made everyone have fun Besides being a sunny and patient person, he also gave us many extra tips for the rest of our vacation. Absolutely recommended tour Thanks again Ettore!
