Visitez cinq temples de haut niveau au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO dans ce parc historique.
Rendez-vous au Wat Lokayasutharam pour voir le Bouddha géant allongé de 37 mètres de long et de 8 mètres de haut. Le Bouddha a été fabriqué à partir de brique et de ciment dans le style artistique moyen Ayutthaya.
Construit par le roi U-Thong (le premier roi d'Ayutthaya) en 1357, Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon était le lieu de méditation pour les moines revenant de pèlerinages au Sri Lanka. Le grand chedi a été construit en 1592 par le roi Naresuan Le Grand pour commémorer sa victoire sur la Birmanie (le Myanmar actuel) la même année.
Célèbre pour "la tête de Bhuddha dans les racines des arbres", Wat Mahathat était l'un des monastères les plus importants du royaume d'Ayutthaya, non seulement parce qu'il était le centre religieux et les reliques du Bouddha, mais aussi parce que c'était un monastère royal.
"Le temple le plus saint de l'ancienne Ayutthaya". Wat Phra Sri Sanphet était le temple le plus grand et le plus beau de la capitale. Il a servi de modèle au temple Wat Phra Kaew (temple du Bouddha émeraude) de Bangkok.
Construit en 1569 par le Bayinnaung, le grand de Hantawaddy (qui fait maintenant partie du Myanmar) pour commémorer sa victoire sur Ayutthaya, Wat Phu Khao Thong est l’un des monuments préférés de la ville antique. Les visiteurs peuvent grimper sur le chedi pour admirer la beauté des rizières environnantes et de la ville d'Ayutthaya.

Enjoyed our Trip to Ayutthaya Temples. Started with Driver pick up 6.30am from our hotel in an air conditioned comfortable small van total group of 8. With experienced Guide we were taken to 3 sites all significant & stunning on their own. Lunch was local fair & very delicious. I recommend this excellent day out.

We were picked up right on time at our hotel and had a pleasant drive in the van with our group to Ayutthaya. The day we were there, it was unpleasantly warm and humid, but I think it was still worth it. Wear sunscreen. Lunch was great. The ruins were interesting (and sad) and our guide did a good job of explaining the history. I am glad we went with a guide so we could understand better what we were looking at. The ruins are spread out and cover a huge area and multiple sites. I wasn't sure he would, but our guide and driver stopped us right off at our hotel at the end of the tour. It was the night before Songkran, and the water festivities were already on!

Please note that while this tour includes hotel pickup within inner Bangkok areas, the standard drop-off points are MRT Sam Yot or Khaosan Road. If your hotel is located nearby, the van may be able to drop you off directly at your hotel.

I recommend this activity for the following reason: Hotel pick-up highly recommended, and although there's an end drop point, drive and guide go above and beyond by dropping at near to your hotel as possible. Though, return is in Bangkok's intense traffic, I recommend dropping yourself at the nearest MRT or BTS station. Then, each stop is allowed more than enough time to explore with freedom. If you desire more information about what you see, let the guide know, and he will provide you the history. Enjoy

Guide was very detailed in his history of everything, driver was great also. The only problem was bad information about our pickup time..when we originally booked it, time For pickup was 7.00 am. Then the last 3 emails said it was 6.00am.?we tried to get it resolved, but nobody returned our request. So, we missed breakfast and sat outside at 5.55am,.nobody showed up until 6,50..
