Commencez votre aventure le matin avec un trajet confortable en minivan de votre hôtel à Bangkok à Ayutthaya.
Notre premier arrêt est l'élégant palais royal d'été Bang Pa-In. En parcourant ses jardins paisibles, découvrez comment les rois siamois passaient autrefois leurs étés ici, accueillant les hôtes étrangers et les membres de la cour royale parmi de gracieux pavillons et des lacs tranquilles.
L’une des premières visites de temples est Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, l’un des complexes de temples les plus impressionnants d’Ayutthaya. Son imposant stupa en forme de cloche a été construit pour célébrer une victoire royale légendaire dans une bataille d'éléphants, tandis que des rangées de statues de Bouddha en robe de safran bordent le terrain du temple. À l'arrière du complexe, un grand Bouddha couché repose paisiblement parmi les ruines du temple, ajoutant un autre point mémorable à ce site remarquable.
Profitez d'un délicieux déjeuner au bord de la rivière dans un restaurant local, savourant des saveurs thaïlandaises authentiques tout en admirant la vue tranquille.
Vous verrez également le temple royal marqué par trois chedis emblématiques qui retenaient autrefois les cendres des anciens rois (Wat Phra Sri Sanphet), ainsi que l'impressionnant ancien palais royal qui se trouvait autrefois au centre du pouvoir du royaume.
L’un des points forts est le temple qui abrite l’un des sites les plus célèbres de Thaïlande : la mystérieuse tête de Bouddha enlacée dans les racines d’un arbre sacré de Bodhi (Wat Mahathat).
Dans l'après-midi, embarquez sur un bateau fluvial traditionnel et naviguez le long de la rivière Chao Phraya autour de l'île. Depuis l'eau, vous verrez Ayutthaya d'un point de vue différent, passant devant les monastères historiques et le magnifique temple au bord de la rivière de Wat Chaiwatthanaram avant de retourner à Bangkok en fin d'après-midi.
La visite terminée, notre chauffeur vous ramènera à votre hôtel à Bangkok.

We had a wonderful tour and day with Alex. He took great care of our family, easily rearranged the itinerary to meet our needs in the high heat, shared interesting history and connected with my kids, took us to a fabulous Thai restaurant for lunch that accommodated our special diets, and took us on a fun speed longboat ride around Ayutthaya. He introduced us to a lovely Thai dessert snack (roti sai mai), and my kids enjoyed making more of the wraps the following day with the ingredients he shared with us. We left our hotel around 7am and reached back by 2:45/3pm - perfect amount of time for us, especially in the hot summer weather. The sites were not crowded, as we reached there early in the morning. Wat Yai Chaya Mongkol was our favorite. Highly recommend this tour and especially Alex if you are visiting Bangkok with family.

This is a great tour! A bit of the history of Thailand, visiting the palace grounds and a few different temples. Ending with lunch and a boat ride was just perfect. We had a large group with 2 vans. Our tour guide, Sasha, was the BEST! Very knowledgeable about all the sites, helpful from the day before all the way through our day. There was a lot of walking and Sasha helped us secure a golf cart at one location and made seating available at another site. She was so thoughtful and organized - able to keep our party together the whole time. It was a great adventure!

Our guide was very good. He was energetic and knowledgeable. I think we spent exactly the right amount of time at each site. It was a lot to see in one day. The boat trip through the canals and river was really fun. It was great to see the temples and houses along the waterways.
