An authentic experience in the Thar Desert! After a first stretch in a jeep and a visit to the abandoned village of Kuldhara, we reached the starting point of the sunset camel ride, amidst beautiful landscapes and stories of life in the desert. The organization was impeccable: our guides really thought of everything! They offered us a typical dinner, and we were able to prepare chapati together. We slept on a bed under a sky full of stars. Truly a unique experience!
Jeetu and nepal are wonderful they pampered us during this evening and night in the Thar desert, they cooked wonderfully, they prepared our bed under the stars. Unforgettable
The setting sun, the starry sky around 3:4, and the morning sun were beautiful. The camel rider was good at taking pictures and took a lot of pictures. It's less desert than I thought (meaning it's not as desert as the Japanese imagine). The bed was just laid out and there was no repellent, but if it was, I'm glad it didn't get dirty. Rice is the minimum. Mr. Jeetu was in charge of the car. There are many differences in the Indian assertive culture, but it's not that I'm strongly concerned about it later in the trip.
We did the overnight camel safari instead of just a sunset ride, and I’m really glad we stayed out there. The sunset was a beautiful gold color across the horizon that made everything look wide open. Later, the stars became brighter around 1am. That ended up being my favorite part. The desert was cooler than I expected, and the sand felt soft and cool at night. After an hour and a half on the camel we were definitely sore, but it wasn’t terrible. Dinner was basic and cooked over the fire, but it hit the spot. We paid 300 rupees extra for cold beers and sat talking with five other travelers from Canada and Israel. We ended up discussing past trips, future plans, and swapping recommendations. We changed into pajamas and slept out in the open on prepared beds with thick blankets. The camels grunted nearby every now and then, but it was surprisingly peaceful. We slept straight from around 9:30 to 6. The guides took good care of everything without making it feel overly organized. And somehow we still had cell service, which felt strange in the middle of the desert. If you’re debating it, I’d recommend doing the overnight. The night out there is what makes it worth it.
The rice was delicious, and the experience of everyone dancing together with interesting folk music and dance was very enjoyable. Time spent taking pictures in the desert and talking to friends around night bonfires became important.
Offering a no-frills authentic desert experience, Real Desert Man Camel Safari delivers on its promise: a camel ride through the desert with desert men. You will wander through villages and meet their residents, and will spend the evenings relaxing with desert nomads offering their simple meals and snacks. Cap it off with a bed under the stars and you have a memorable experience that simply must be tried before leaving Jaisalmer.
Camping under the stars for 3 nights was truly one of the best experiences of our trip. The desert was peaceful, magical, and felt completely authentic — nothing compares to sleeping beneath a sky full of stars. Huge thanks to Jeetu, Abhay, and Nepal for taking such great care of us. They were kind, welcoming, and made sure everything was comfortable and memorable. From the food to the atmosphere, everything felt genuine and special. If you want a real desert experience, this is the one. Highly, highly recommend 🌟
Amazing work experience. Very well organized, we literally had nothing to do but enjoy the experience, the ride on the camel, rhe food and the ned prepared and ready for us. Jitu, Nepal, and Abhay were great guides. Highly recommended.

It was wonderful experience to sleep in the desert, under starry open sky. The trip was very well organized, we took on Jeep first, then camel ride to the heart of Thar desert, we enjoyed a lot the food prepared by the cook, and the camel guide is very experienced and speak very well English. Overall highly recommended.
