Very fun experience,...

Very fun experience, guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Lots of different tour groups where there but it was still a good time. Definitely a rush with water slide, cliff jumping and a rope swing.

In Awe

Absolutely loved everything about this experience. Our tour guides Luis and Manuel were so informative and helpful. They went out of their way to help us when needed and never once rushed us or made us feel uncomfortable since we were a little older than the rest of the group. They took us to the most beautiful breathtaking spots in El Yunque that we will never forget. Highly recommended this experience

Amazing - so glad we did it!

Our tour guide, Mikey, was fantastic! He was funny, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire experience. The hike is moderately challenging, so you should be in decent shape. My eight year old needed some help at times, especially when navigating the large, slippery rocks leading up to the natural waterslide. That said, the adventure was absolutely worth it. We had an amazing time and highly recommend.

First, Blue and Kiko were amazing. I cant wait to come back and have them guide us through out Puerto Rico. They made this experience a 10/10. This was a great tour for our first time, cant wait to come back and do a bigger trail and see more of El Yunque.. Blue's love for the island and her job shows and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. GRACIAS BLUE.

Core memories unlocked! BEST TOUR EVER!

Oh my goodness! What an amazing adventure. We did this excursion as a family (my husband and myself, and our three boys: 11,9,6). We are an active and adventurous family and this experience was a perfect fit! Blue was our tour guide and Kiko was her tour assistant. Blue was so very knowledgeable about the rain forest and its history. She took time to stop and show us various plants, what to look out for (avoid the picas picas!), their uses. She taught us about the history of the Taino Indians and the things that they invented. We learned so much as we hiked. Kiko is a certified life guard and kept everyone safe. He was in the water first to help anyone who was uncomfortable swimming. He made sure my 6yo could mount a huge boulder. My 9yo can scale just about any surface like a spider and Kiko made sure he was challenged too! The hike was great. Pretty intense at some points but a simple walk at others. You will hike a fairly steep incline up using natural stairs, roots, trees and rocks to help pull yourself up. There is another inclined path but it’s just walking and not climbing. Make sure your knees and ankles can handle it all! You arrive at the watering hole place. Here, they give you the option to stay there to relax on the large rocks and the calm waters or to continue on for another 10-15 minute rock climb hike to reach the natural water slide, jumping cliff and rope swing. There are 8ft, 15ft, and 20ft cliff jump options. My 6yo sis the 15ft jump, the rest of us did the 20ft jump. All amazing! Completely exhilarating! You hike back the reverse of how you got up there and that was sometimes tricker than getting up there! Make sure someone in your group has an iPhone with storage space. During the hike, Blue takes tons of pics and vids of EVERYTHING you do. At the end, she Airdrops the pics and vids to one person in each group. You won’t have a signal on your phone there, so this will be the only way to get the pictures. You meet up at the Farmacia Caridad. There you will follow Blue’s truck to El Yunque caravan style. Parts of that drive are tricky because it’s on a small one-lane, two direction road. Make sure the driver is confident! During the hike, Blue chats with the group and we got some amazing recommendations for food places in the area and in San Juan. And they were great recommendations! Life vests are provided. You can’t take anything with you on the hike that you don’t plan on getting dirty or wet. You have to keep up with your own belongings and there aren’t trash cans in the forest. So wearing a pack or anything like that isn’t a good choice. Blue will provide you water after you return from the hike. At most just about everyone had their phones in a water proof pouch around their necks and they had to jump and slide with them tucked inside your life vest. Wear water shoes with the thick soles or hiking sneakers that you are okay with getting completely submerged and muddy. Wear your water clothes. No sunscreen, no bug spray to preserve the ecosystem of the rainforest river. But there are NO MOSQUITOS naturally because there’s no still water and plenty of dragonflies who eat them! All in all this was a phenomenal experience that will for sure create some core memories for anyone who does it. 10/10 absolutely recommend…Blue and Kiko are AMAZING!
