Nous poursuivons notre route vers Florence, la ville légendaire des artistes et des architectes du XIVe au XVIIe siècle. Fais une pause pour déjeuner. À 14 h 30, rendez-vous avec le guide pour une visite guidée à pied de Florence. Le baptistère Saint-Jean de Pise (en italien : Battistero di San Giovanni) est un édifice religieux catholique situé à Pise, en Italie. La construction a débuté en 1152 pour remplacer un ancien baptistère, et une fois achevée en 1363, elle est devenue le deuxième édifice, par ordre chronologique, de la Piazza dei Miracoli. La forme du bâtiment, les matériaux utilisés, la disposition des espaces intérieurs déterminée par les colonnes et l'espace entre les deux dômes confèrent au baptistère un incroyable effet de résonance acoustique, plus connu sous le nom d'« écho ». Laissez-vous envahir par le son qui se répand dans toute la pièce, telle une vague continue, dont la tonalité s'élève jusqu'à évoquer la présence d'un chœur angélique. Toutes les demi-heures, le personnel du baptistère organise une petite démonstration pour les touristes : c'est un spectacle à ne pas manquer.
La cathédrale de Pise est une cathédrale catholique romaine médiévale dédiée à l'Assomption de la Vierge Marie, située sur la Piazza dei Miracoli à Pise, en Italie. C'est un exemple remarquable de l'architecture romane, et plus particulièrement du style dit « roman pisain ».
Admirez le clocher le plus célèbre au monde, la Tour penchée de Pise (visite extérieure), connue dans le monde entier pour son inclinaison de près de quatre degrés, due à des fondations instables. La tour se trouve derrière la cathédrale et constitue le troisième édifice le plus ancien de la « Piazza dei Miracoli », après la cathédrale et le baptistère.
La visite comprend la Galerie de l'Académie, où se trouve le David, la célèbre sculpture de Michel-Ange. Le David de Michel-Ange à l'Accademia : outre cette œuvre, on y trouve également d'autres sculptures et une importante collection de peintures d'artistes florentins.
La cathédrale Santa Maria del Fiore (visite extérieure), avec sa magnifique coupole conçue par Brunelleschi, est la cathédrale de Florence. La construction débuta en 1296, dans le style gothique, d'après les plans d'Arnolfo di Cambio, et fut achevée sur le plan structurel en 1436, avec une coupole conçue par Filippo Brunelleschi. L'extérieur de la basilique est recouvert de panneaux de marbre polychrome dans diverses nuances de vert et de rose, bordés de blanc, et présente une façade néogothique du XIXe siècle de conception élaborée, réalisée par Emilio De Fabris.
Juste à côté de la cathédrale Santa Maria del Fiore se trouve le clocher conçu par Giotto (à voir de l'extérieur). Le clocher de Giotto est le majestueux clocher de la cathédrale et l'un des chefs-d'œuvre du gothique italien. Le clocher présente une base carrée d'environ 15 mètres de côté, avec des renforts d'angle qui s'élèvent jusqu'à la couronne en porte-à-faux horizontale située à une hauteur de 84,7 mètres.
Le baptistère de San Giovanni (visite extérieure) se trouve sur la Piazza Duomo, face à la cathédrale de S. La cathédrale Santa Maria del Fiore est l'un des monuments les plus importants de Florence. Les origines de ce monument ne sont pas clairement établies. On pense qu'il a été construit sur les ruines d'un ancien temple romain dédié au dieu Mars, vers le IVe ou le Ve siècle après J.-C. La première mention remonte à 897, date à laquelle elle était déjà désignée comme une basilique. En 1128, il devint officiellement le baptistère de la ville, où se déroulait le rite du baptême. Le baptistère, qui porte le nom du saint patron de la ville, se caractérise par un plan octogonal, surmonté d'une coupole à huit pans recouverte, à l'extérieur, d'un toit pyramidal. L'extérieur du bâtiment est orné de marbre blanc de Carrare et de marbre vert de Prato, caractéristiques de l'architecture romane florentine.
La Piazza della Signoria est au cœur de la vie politique de Florence depuis le XIVe siècle. La place a été le théâtre d'événements historiques majeurs et de grandes victoires, comme le retour des Médicis en 1530. Les célèbres sculptures situées sur la Piazza della Signoria font référence aux événements politiques de Florence. Le David (dont l'original se trouve à la Galerie de l'Académie) a été sculpté par Michel-Ange et placé devant le Palazzo Vecchio pour symboliser la puissance de la République florentine, en opposition à la tyrannie des Médicis. L'œuvre « Hercule et Cacus » (1534) de Bandinelli symbolise quant à elle la force physique de la famille.
Construit près d'un passage datant de l'époque romaine, le Ponte Vecchio fut, jusqu'en 1218, le seul pont à enjamber l'Arno à Florence. Au-dessus du Ponte Vecchio, on peut apercevoir une partie du magnifique Corridor de Vasari. Ce couloir, construit en 1565 par Giorgio Vasari, passe juste au-dessus des ateliers d'orfèvrerie qui se trouvent aujourd'hui de part et d'autre du pont. Commandé par les Médicis, il leur permettait de se rendre du Palazzo Vecchio au Palazzo Pitti sans avoir à traverser les rues de Florence, en toute sécurité. Au moment de la construction du Corridor, les boucheries étaient regroupées sur le Ponte Vecchio, dont l'activité dérangeait sans doute le passage des Médicis, qui, en 1593, les firent déplacer pour les remplacer par des boutiques d'orfèvrerie, jugées plus « convenables ».
La Piazzale Michelangelo est le lieu le plus évocateur de Florence. De là, vous pouvez admirer toute la ville et ses magnifiques monuments. Cette place a été dédiée au grand artiste de la Renaissance, Michel-Ange, et la copie du David se trouve en son centre, à côté des quatre allégories des chapelles des Médicis de San Lorenzo. We booked a private tour for 6 family members, unfortunately we shared our guide with another group of 4. the guide would switch cars throughout the day. we paid for a private tour. We would like to be compensated for not receiving what we purchased. Our tour guide Rish and driver Artur were very good and the driver was very conscientious to stop for rest if needed. It was a nice ride beautiful scenery, the trip was good other than paying for private not receiving.

For this reason, the tour was operated exactly as booked, with a tour leader assisting more than one vehicle during the day. We completely understand how this may have caused confusion, as both options are available on the same product page, but according to the reservation details received, a private tour was not purchased. We are glad that despite this misunderstanding, you enjoyed the experience and that Rishi and Artur helped make the day comfortable and enjoyable. An amazing day trip to both Piza and Venice. Our guide was knowledgeable and delighted us with information throughout the drive and the sites. A new guide joined us in Florence who was an expert on art and Florence. A wonderful lunch in Florence (self pay). The tour felt rushed from the start. It wasn’t clear what time we had to be at certain locations and asking for a bathroom break seemed to cause timing issues. It’s a full day and I did need several bathroom breaks which I think caused more stress for the guide.

Great communication from the moment I booked the tour. Prompt on time pickup at a convenient location. Drive to Pisa and Florence from Rome was very comfortable in a spacious van with AC. Traveled with my senior parents, husband and two kids under 18. Stopped there and back at to use restrooms and get drinks and snacks. Once in Pisa guide walked us straight into Baptistry and Cathedral with tickets and we were able to see and explore as well as see the tower and take pictures. From there we went to Florence and we went to a leather store to see and purchase leather goods. So many beautiful colors and items to pick from. Guide recommended a place to eat, Trattoria Vecchio Mercato and reserved a table for us. Our meal was delicious and we had some time to walk the market afterwards before our walking tour started. Our guide was very informative and we were able to get in fairly quickly to the Galleria to see David. From there we went to see the Cathedral and Baptistry then to the Piazza della Signoria and walked to Ponte Vecchio. The Tour was easy to follow and definitely would recommend. Before we left our driver stopped at Vista Panoramica di Firenze Punto Panoramico and the views of the city are amazing. We all enjoyed our day trip and had a wonderful time. Thank you.

The headline said Private Tour. My fault for failing to read the fine print on the click but I didn’t realize it was a shared tour. Our new friends were fine. The van was a POS. The suspension was horrible and riding in the back seat while our driver drove like he was Mario Andreaddi was the worst experience I have ever had. 4 hours of pure hell felling every bump turn and hard stop. It’s was so bad we took a train back from Florence to Rome rather than ride in it any more. I would not recommend this tour period.

We booked through Viator to visit Pisa and Florence. Our driver Antonio and guide Agnese were so polite and friendly . They helped us with our plans and needs. They were taking care if we are comfortable and checking the whole day schedule of ours for what works and what doesn’t since I had a little kid. Agnese was very patient with explaining history of Tuscan and Florence. She also gave us more suggestions on Rome and other historical and beautiful places in Italy. She also helped us sneak in our leather shopping in Florence which we were much interested in. Thanks to her for getting us in the right stores. Overall we had wonderful experiences within this tour with good food, shopping and visiting to these cities.

My family and I took the private tour to Pisa and Florence. We were met in the morning at our hotel by our Guide - Nariman “Nari” and Driver - Adam. The van was spotless and the drive to Pisa was beautiful as we travelled along the coast. Nari kept us engaged as he enlightened us to the rich history, geography, and cultural aspects of the regions we encountered. My teenagers listened intently as Nari was very informative and thoughtfully kept their attention. We arrived at the magnificent sights, and Nari’s energy and enthusiasm was infectious, making for a wonderfully memorable experience. Florence and Pisa are a must see. This was our fist visit to Rome , and first day trip to Florence and Pisa. We were a family of 4 and had the car to ourselves. The team (guide and driver) arrived on time and they both were both great. The guide (Teresa) was very engaging, pointing out interesting facts along the way and in Pisa. We had a great tour of Pisa and Florence. The local guide in Florence was also great , with good knowledge of history of the place and very engaging. The team also helped us modify the trip slightly based on our needs. Overall all definitely recommend this tour and team.

Malak our tour guide in our private bus transportation was outstanding & she provided us with alot of information and history of Pisa and city of Florence.
