Ani was a great guide and he was very informative and knowledgeable and a nice guy and I liked his car
For 100 Euros pp we had a 30 minute bus trip ro the viewing point, less than 20 minutes there, then a 30 minute return trip. Absolute rip-off. The view from the platform was not nearly as spectacular as promoted. Don't bother.
We arrived for the pickup 5 minutes late and the bus had left. Whilst we appreciate timeframes, waiting a few minutes for a large group is not unreasonable seeing as we paid quite a lot of money. They were not very flexible in rescheduling and could only fit some of us on a later bus, so half the group did not manage to go.. The ones that did said that the bus took a long time (due to traffic), but that it ultimately left them less than 5 minutes at the viewpoint, before they had to head back. So it's not really worth the money unfortunately.
Tour operator never showed up at meeting place. They were quick to get our money but did not show up. Besides, this is an over rated over expensive tour. My advice is to pass!!
The local tour operator texted us less than 2 hours before the excursion to let us know the start time would be one hour later. By the time I replied “OK” they had canceled us and we were left without a tour. This was extremely unprofessional on the part of the tour operator who should have held spots for us as offered. No further explanation was provided, just a refund which doesn’t really count when you have one day in port and no chance to see the sights you proactively booked and paid for. There is no physical access to any tour operator representative at the port and the phone number goes to voicemail. Recommend you use the tour operators that have a physical presence at the port.
Just ok bus trip with nice scenery and a great view Just very pricey at $100 a person if you are more than 2 consider renting a car
Beautiful drive to the overlook and so many cute baby sheep and goats on the way. The views from the top were stunning. Our driver was excellent.
We decided to skip the Flåm Railway and book this tour instead, and it turned out to be a great choice. The drive to Stegastein was beautiful, and the viewpoint over Aurlandsfjord was absolutely stunning. Our guide also stopped at a few quieter photos spots and shared interesting local stories along the way. The small group size made the experience feel much more rekaxed and enjoyable than larger tour busses.
We enjoyed an organized and simple outing from Flam that featured incredible sights. Beautiful scenery was visible throughout the drive up and the Stegastein overlook is truly amazingg. A calm atmosphere was ensured by the small number of participants. This classic Norway experience is highly recommended for people on cruise ships as it offers great value.
A must see. Spectacular view of the longest fjord in Norway. We had the opportunity to visit during a Viking cruise. If in the area. Do not miss
