Tour started with about a one hour comfortable van ride from our Pereira hotel with our tour guide, Augusto, and our driver, Jose Miguel. At the main square in Filandia we transferred to a "Willy," a Jeep, that took us to our "starting point" into the jungle. They offer different lengths depending on abilities. Guide, Alejandro, was very experienced, 11 years fighting the drug trade in the jungle for the army. We lucked out with a dry day, not many of these typically we were told. After our jungle experience, we went into Filandia for lunch (included). The food and the view were excellent. After that, we walked around town, visited the basket weaving museum (actually, this was intetesting), and a little bit of shopping before our ride back to the hotel. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Thank you very much for your kind opinion. The Nature Trips Colombia team is preparing so that we can always fulfill your travel dream. Always welcome to the Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape.
Our guide Camilo was very knowledgeable and very enjoyed the tour with him. His English was perfect and he explained very interesting facts about the town. The visit to the weaving basket museum was very interesting. The town was very pretty and I wish I spent more time there. We ate at Helena Adentro restaurant and it was delicious and fun. Totally recommend this trip.
On behalf of the entire Nature Trips Colombia team, your guide Camilo, the driver, the office staff, as well as the network of suppliers, we thank you for choosing us to live a unique experience in the Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape, world heritage of the UNESCO You will always be welcome, there is much more to see and live.
