Vous embarquerez pour une visite de groupe de 9 heures au départ de Lisbonne pour explorer la région du centre-ouest du Portugal. Cette visite est limitée à 8 participants et se déroule entièrement en Anglais. Votre premier arrêt sera à Fatima, l'un des sanctuaires les plus importants du catholicisme, attirant plus de 6 millions de visiteurs chaque année. Ensuite, vous visiterez Nazare, une charmante ville côtière réputée pour ses vagues époustouflantes, qui sont les plus grandes jamais surfées au monde. Ici, vous aurez l'occasion de déjeuner et de savourer des plats Portugais traditionnels. Enfin, vous serez subjugué par le village historique d’Obidos, niché dans les murs d’un château. Ses rues pavées étroites et ses maisons fleuries créent une atmosphère de conte de fées. N’oubliez pas de goûter à la fameuse liqueur de cerise, connue sous le nom de ginja, servie dans une tasse de chocolat !

Le point de rendez-vous est à l'Avenida da Liberdade 9, en face du magasin Armani Exchange.
La chapelle des Apparences est une petite chapelle à Fatima, marquant le site où trois enfants bergers ont signalé des apparitions de la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie.
Vous vous arrêterez et explorerez le sanctuaire de Fatima pendant environ 1 heure. Fatima est aujourd'hui l’un des principaux sanctuaires du catholicisme et est visitée par 6 millions de personnes chaque année. On raconte que la Vierge Marie est apparue à trois enfants - Lucie, Francisco et Jacinta - chaque mois du 13 mai 1917 au 13 octobre 1917.
Cette église a été créée au XIVe siècle lorsque le roi Ferdinand est venu en pèlerinage à Notre-Dame de Nazaré, commémorant un miracle antique attribué à l'intercession de la Vierge Marie.
Nazare est une charmante ville de pêcheurs avec de nombreux endroits pour s'arrêter et profiter de la vue sur l'océan. Le centre-ville est animé de restaurants de fruits de mer, ce qui en fait un endroit idéal pour déguster de la cuisine locale. Située à 110 mètres (360 pieds) au-dessus de l'océan, cette zone au sommet d'une falaise offre une vue à couper le souffle. Un monument remarquable est une petite chapelle construite en 1182 par un noble local, Dom Fuas Roupinho, en remerciement à la Vierge Marie pour lui avoir sauvé la vie. À proximité se trouve l'église baroque, Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Nazare, qui a été construite au XIVe siècle. Prenez le temps de vous détendre dans cet endroit magnifique et ne manquez pas d'essayer un restaurant local typique pour le déjeuner.
Ici, vous découvrirez une vue imprenable depuis un promontoire au sommet d'une falaise.
Pour apprécier pleinement Praia da Nazare et la partie sud du village de Nazare, vous vous arrêterez au sommet de la falaise de Nazare. Cette vue pittoresque sur la mer vaut vraiment le détour.
Vous visiterez la petite chapelle Hermida da Memoria située au bord de la falaise de Nazaré. Il a été visité par de nombreux pèlerins célèbres, dont Vasco de Gama.
Praia do Norte reçoit certaines des plus grosses vagues du monde. C'est en 2011 que cette plage a défrayé la chronique lorsque Garrett McNamara y a surfé une vague record de 24 mètres.
Le fort de Sao Miguel est un fort du XVIe siècle qui a été transformé en phare. Il offre une vue spectaculaire sur l'océan et abrite le centre d'interprétation de Nazare Canyon.
Obidos est une ville médiévale qui a été prise aux Maures en 1148. Depuis, c'est une ville fortifiée, avec des rues pavées et des maisons blanchies à la chaux ornées de fleurs. Fondée sur une colline avec vue sur l'océan, la baie s'est progressivement envasée, et depuis le 15ème siècle, Obidos est une ville enclavée. Cependant, Obidos ne se limite pas à son architecture médiévale; elle est également connue pour ses festivals animés, ses librairies, ses petits musées et ses spécialités locales comme le chocolat et le ginjinha (une liqueur de cerise, une portion par personne est incluse dans le prix). Depuis quelques années, Obidos se réinvente en centre littéraire.

This tour’s guide was exceptional. Her name was Kat or Katerina! Her level of knowledge was steeped with childhood memories! It’s was the best of the best!
The tour was good and the tour guide was knowledgeable. I felt like the time at Fatima was too short, but I was definitely most interested in Fatima over the other two locations. They offered confessions, but it took a very long time to find an English speaking priest, which ended up taking up most of my time there - waiting. I felt guilty going, and leaving before they could find someone, so I felt like I missed a lot of the Fatima experience. If I go again, I will only go with others who are interested in Fatima mostly - not other locations. If you are going to Nazare, based on the photos advertising the tour showing the big waves, it isn't happening in June/July. Found out a little too late that they are only visible/impressive November through February. There were literally no waves to be seen. Food was good. The statue of Mary breastfeeding is shown as a replica where it was found and you have to pay to see the real one in the church. Obidos was nice - a good break for the ride back. I wouldn't say it was a highlight or that there was anything very special about it. Walking along the ramparts was too dangerous, so we had a drink in a pub. Our guide was very helpful - especially recommending places for the rest of our stay in Lisbon. They were on time and easy to find for the pick-up point. They picked up and dropped off in front of your hotel if that was an option (some hotels aren't located with drop-off/pick up points so there was a short walk)
This was an exceptional experience in every way: Yes, the sites are beautiful and well worth visiting (we've all seen the pictures). But the tour itself is well organized and conducted. The small van is comfortable, air-conditioned, and makes it easy to interact with your fellow travelers. The transitions are planned well - the longest leg of the trip was about 1.5 hours. There is sufficient time at each site to give you a good overview of the highlights (so you can return and explore on your own later if you wish). But for me, the best part of this trip was our tour guide, Catarina. She was very knowledgeable, skilled, professional, yet engaging, funny, personable, and kind. Thank you, dear Cat, and I look forward to another tour with Lisbon Riders the next time I'm in Lisbon.

It’s not just a religious tour but a fun way to experience a big part of Portuguese culture and its people Our guide was so informative and helpful A must do The van was brand new very comfortable and Kat really knows her stuff we had a very good sardine meal complete with dessert for a reasonable price and the experience of Nazare is so good you would consider returning there for more time on your own Kat is very sharp and well informed even dropped us off close to our hotel Take this tour with her company you won’t regret it
Carolina, our guide, was fantastic! There were 4 of us in our group (plus 3 others) and she went out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable, explaining things in detail, making conversation with all participants in the tour to get to know people. This also helped the rest of the participants to also know a little bit about each other. The tour is highly recommended!

Our guide, Liliana arrived early to pick us up. She introduce herself and we got underway on our journey. Liliana was extremely knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. She was extremely knowledgeable about the regions and towns that we visited. She made sure that we had plenty of time to see all attractions and had plenty of time to ask questions. We asked her to recommend a restaurant for us to have lunch in Nazaré and she didn’t disappoint. Fantastic lunch. She took the time to make sure we (and especially our two young grand daughter) could meet one of the Nazarenas (women residents of Nazaré) so they could show and explain why they traditionally wear 7 skirts). Fantastic trip. Would engage this firm again on my next return to Portugal!! Thank you Nuno and Liliana for making our vacation supper special an one that my grand daughters will never forget!!
