La basilique de la Sainte Trinité est une basilique plus petite située à la place de Cova da Iria, dans la paroisse et la ville de Fatima. C'est une immense église dédiée à la Sainte Trinité, appartenant au complexe du sanctuaire de Fatima, avec 8 633 places assises et 40 000 m² de surface. Le projet a été écrit par l'architecte grec Alexandros Tombazis. Il a été inauguré le 12 octobre 2007 par le secrétaire d'État du Vatican, le cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, à l'occasion du 90e anniversaire des apparitions de la Vierge Marie à Fatima.
Le sanctuaire de Fatima, anciennement appelé par l'église catholique sanctuaire de Notre-Dame du Rosaire de Fatima, est un sanctuaire marial dédié à Notre-Dame de Fatima, situé sur le site de la Cova da Iria, dans la ville de Fatima, Ourém, Portugal. . Le sanctuaire de Fátima est, par excellence, un lieu de pèlerinage chrétien et de dévotion catholique, préservant la mémoire des événements qui ont conduit à sa fondation, à savoir les apparitions de Notre-Dame aux trois petits bergers - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco et Jacinta Marto - en 1917 Son ampleur et sa pertinence du point de vue religieux sont depuis longtemps largement reconnues aux niveaux national et international. Par la volonté expresse du Saint-Siège Apostolique, il s’agit d’un sanctuaire national. C'est également l'un des sanctuaires mariaux les plus importants au monde appartenant à l'Église catholique et la plus grande destination de tourisme religieux international, accueillant environ six millions de visiteurs par an. Il a reçu trois roses d'or papales et a été visité par les papes Paul VI (1967), Jean-Paul II (1982, 1991 et 2000), Benoît XVI (2010) et Francisco (2017).

I enjoyed the drive and the tour of the factory that supplies Virgin Mary statues and other religious items. Seeing Fatima was an important goal for me while travelling in Portugal. The time provided even though 1 hour 15 minutes - it just isn’t long enough. The driver was great and very pleasant. Just wished we had more time. If you want to enjoy a mass - I think 2 hours is needed.
