Le fort de Jaisalmer est un centre urbain vivant, avec environ 3000 personnes résidant dans ses murs. Il est en nid d'abeille avec des ruelles étroites et sinueuses, bordées de maisons et de temples - avec un grand nombre de boutiques d'artisanat, de maisons d'hôtes et de restaurants. Vous entrez dans le fort par l'est, près de Gopa Chowk, et passez par quatre portes massives sur la route en zigzag vers la partie supérieure. La dernière porte s'ouvre sur la place qui forme le centre du fort, Dashera Chowk.
Les temples Jain sont l'un des plus anciens temples de Jaisalmer, situés à l'intérieur du complexe du fort de Jaisalmer. Ces temples jaïns sont les attractions religieuses les plus importantes de Jaisalmer. Il y a sept temples jaïns au total qui sont construits au cours des 12ème et 15ème siècles après JC. Ces temples jaïns sont dédiés à différents tirthankars jaïns. Parmi ces temples, le plus grand est le temple Parsvanath et est le plus attrayant; d'autres étant le temple Chandraprabhu, le temple Rishabdev, le temple Shitalnath, le temple Kunthanath et le temple Shantinath.
Ce magnifique haveli est situé au coeur de la ville dans de petites ruelles. Haveli du XIXe siècle, propriété privée, connue pour ses sculptures extérieures ornées et son architecture unique.
Le plus gros poisson de l'étang de haveli (résidence traditionnelle richement décorée) est Patwa-ki-Haveli, qui domine une ruelle étroite, ses pierres complexes ressemblant à de la dentelle couleur miel. Divisé en cinq sections, il a été construit entre 1800 et 1860 par cinq frères Jain qui ont fait fortune dans le brocart et la joaillerie. Tout cela est très impressionnant de l’extérieur; cependant, la première des cinq sections, le musée privé Patwa-ki-Haveli de Kothari, évoque richement la vie du XIXe siècle et est le seul pour lequel il vaut la peine d’entrer. D'autres sections comprennent deux «musées» appartenant au gouvernement en grande partie vides et deux sections privées contenant des magasins.
Lac Gadi Sagar situé au sud de la ville de Jaisalmer. Gadi Sagar, un lac d'eau de pluie de Jaisalmer, est situé dans un environnement calme et frais. Ce lac sylvestre est entouré d'innombrables temples et sanctuaires sacrés. L'eau de ce lac est limpide. Des sports nautiques comme le canotage peuvent être pratiqués dans ce lac. Il détient l'approvisionnement en eau de toute la ville. De nombreux oiseaux migrateurs peuvent être vus affluer autour du lac. Il y a aussi un célèbre temple Krishna construit au sommet de la porte en grès jaune.
Les cénotaphes ici sont les structures les plus fabuleuses de Jaisalmer et l'une de ses principales attractions touristiques. Dédié à Sage Vyas, qui a écrit le poème épique Mahabharata, Vyas Chhatri a de beaux mémoriaux et est un terrain de crémation pour les brahmanes. Les cénotaphes en grès jaune sont construits sur des plates-formes surélevées, avec des chhatris au design complexe au sommet de piliers finement ciselés. Ils sont un exemple frappant de l'architecture du Rajasthan. Construit sur une colline, vous pouviez voir le fort d'or de Jaisalmer au loin et des couchers de soleil fascinants.

It was an amazing day with our guide Marvin to tour Jaisalmer. He was really really knowledgeable and explained everything in details! We visited popular place in Jaisalmer like Fort, Jain Temple and patwon ki haveli. Best part of this tour was a beautiful sunset with large golden fort view. Always smiling and happy to answer our questions! Really recommend this tour!

Jaisalmer is a beautiful place. I took help from DIH for a day tour of the Golden city along with a guide. Mr. Sharma assisted me through the tour. We been to Jaisalmer Fort, Patwo ki haweli, Kuldhara, local market etc. They arranged transport as well as necessary permits. The guide was quite knowledgeable, patient and kind. I had a great experience taking this tour with DIH. I also further took their assistance to get my accommodation and adventure sport services in Sam desert. The stay was comfortable, hygienic with great food. I will surely take their services for my Udaipur and Jodhpur trip as they specialise in Rajasthan tours.

I travelled to Rajasthan for 10 days in Feb 23. It was a family tour across Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer. We got this trip planned by DIH. They managed every single requirement from this trip. Stay, food, travel vehicle, tickets, shopping, hotel etc was managed as per our expectations. I am happy that I tried their services. I am quite satisfied and would recommend it to all who love to travel but don’t want to hustle with the planning of it. They did an amazing job, and helped us the real vibe of Rajasthan which I might have missed if I would have gone through some big travel aggregator platform. Highly recommended.

DIH is a one stop shop for all your travel needs, literally. It was referred to me by one of my friends. So, I thought to try them for a customised travel itinerary. I did a Delhi, Agra and Jaipur tour with them and some of my friends from Canada joined me on this trip. So, we requested for a custom, offbeat trip for ourselves. It was a 10 days road trip and we had the best time of our lives during this trip. We were 7 people and DIH managed all the travel, stay, food, and day visits to monuments. We started from Delhi and were picked up by a traveller vehicle along with a trip manager cum guide and a driver who travelled with us through this trip. Jaisalmer was a beautiful city in Rajasthan. It was a family visit to Jaisalmer. It was a 3 day long trip covering the city and one night at Sam desert. DIH organized my travel tickets, hotel stay and a beautiful camp stay as per my requirement. DIH gave us a guide to visit all monuments in Jaisalmer and he explained everything quite nicely. I loved the whole experience of being on this trip. Payment terms were quite transparent with DIH, you may pay via online transfer, cash, cheque. The booking amount was give 50% at the time of the booking and 100% before leaving from Jaisalmer. I love Rajasthan and cnt wait to come again to explore the other cities.

I did my Jaipur tour with Delightful India Holidays in Jan 2023. It was a great experience overall. They arranged day tour to Amber Palace, Jantar Mantar, Patrika Gate, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Nahargarh Fort. The trip was divided in 4 days as I wanted to visit most of the places and not rush it. DIH arranged my stay in beautiful property in the heart of the town. The best part was the hospitality, people and sanitised accommodation. Rajasthan trip with DIH A friend recommend DIH for travel related bookings. They were know to have travel services across India, however I tried them for Jaisalmer trip. It was a family trip and DIH helped us to prepare a travel plan including best things to explore in the city. They helped us with local guide, vehicle for city travel, hotel, camp bookings. We also enjoyed many adventure activities in the desert 🌵with the help of DIH. The arrangements done by the team was good and well coordinated. I didn't have to worry about anything. Fascinating day trip Jaisalmer city I planned my Jaisalmer trip with the help of DIH team. They were quick to understand my requirements and interest areas while travelling to the city. The day trip in the city was amazing and informative. All thanks to our guide Kamal. We liked their services and did our booking through DIG only. I got amazing property to stay in Jaisalmer city along with a beautiful camp site in the Sam desert. Food at the camp was authentic Rajasthani taste. Camp had various activities which were liked by children like dance, games etc. Highly recommend DIH for making travel arrangements.
