Faro, la capitale administrative de l'Algarve, est riche en patrimoine naturel et culturel et vous invite à le découvrir. La ville préromaine appelée Ossónoba était l'un des centres urbains les plus importants du sud de la péninsule ibérique. Aujourd'hui, en raison de son emplacement, en plus d'être la capitale, Faro possède l'infrastructure et les services publics les plus importants de la région de l'Algarve. La gastronomie locale, à base de coquillages de la Ria Formosa, est unique et l'une des meilleures du pays. Le charmant centre historique de Faro est entouré d'anciens remparts de la ville et abrite une cathédrale gothique. À l'extérieur des murs de la ville se trouve un centre moderne avec des rues commerçantes piétonnes, des places pittoresques et une variété de restaurants et de bars. Au sud de Faro se trouve le parc naturel de Ria Formosa, une série de lagunes d'eau salée et de vasières qui sont un refuge pour les oiseaux migrateurs et la faune. Le long du bord de mer de la Ria Formosa se trouvent trois îles de bancs de sable, où se trouvent les plages immaculées de Faro.
Tavira est l'une des villes les plus charmantes de l'Algarve. Tavira se trouve le long de la rivière Gilão qui coule lentement, et est un délicieux mélange d'héritage portugais traditionnel avec des influences maures profondes. Des maisons traditionnellement carrelées, des restaurants familiaux et une myriade d'églises décoratives se cachent dans le labyrinthe des rues pavées. Au sud de Tavira se trouvent les cours d'eau protégés et les vasières du Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, qui mène aux belles plages de sable de l'Ilha de Tavira. campagne. Gabriel was an excellent tour guide through the beautiful towns of Faro and Tavira. We had an amazing time learning about both areas, exploring their beautiful streets and enjoying a delicious lunch at the suggested restaurant. My family and I had a great day and we would highly recommend this tour!

We booked a private tour to Faro and Tavira and on another day to Silves and Lagos. Gabriel Lima picked us up at our hotel in Porches and dropped us back at the end. Gabriel was definitely the nicest most knowledgeable guide ever. He made the experience so enjoyable and was great to learn so much about the 4 cities and also so much more about Portugal. Would definitely recommend Gabriel Lima. The cost was well worth the money and reassuring that Gabriel had all the insurance etc., in place. He catered to our every need and made our holiday.

You can’t go wrong with GL tours! I have used them several times over the last couple of years and Gabriel’s knowledge of the area and sites is phenomenal! He will take you on tours that show the authentic Portugal, focusing on a specific area and must see sites contained within. I especially love that he showcases local restaurants, sites and experiences - not just the run of the mill tourist spots. His sense of humor and love of his country is apparent throughout the tours. This tour is 5+++ Stars!! We couldn't have asked for a better day as we sampled the Algarve on our full day tour with Gabriel! Gabriel has excellent transportation with powerful AC and he is safe, gracious, kind, knowledgeable, and his humor adds an extra fun element to the day! We loved getting to know Gabriel and the Algarve he loves so much. Our views were from the countryside, the beach/marinas, and the cities which gave everyone in the family something special. Our lunch was delicious with authentic seafood, so delicious in fact that my teenager RAVED that the tuna was the BEST he's ever had! Gabriel can create a special day for anyone based on their wishes. We are truly grateful for this experience and highly recommend Gabriel's services. Obrigado!!!

Gabrielle came to us as a recommendation from a family friend and we are so appreciative to have had the experience and time with him, He is truly an expert about the stunning Algarve region and is happy to customize your experience. We visited some incredible architecture in Faro and Tavira after Gabrielle picked us up in Albufiera. He recommended an amazing restaurant for lunch, that had the most mouthwatering octupus we’ve ever tried! He even added a visit to a gorgeous beach when he learned how much we love the sea. It was an amazingly memorable day that was enhanced by all the insights her shared about his country and region as someone who’s lived there his whole life. My friends and I had a wonderful tour experience with Gabriel! He was on time, kept us on schedule but didn't rush the pace of our exploration, made us feel safe and made sure one of our friends who left early still got a full experience before heading to the airport in Faro. Gabriel is from Faro and his passion and knowledge for the area shines through. He curated a day for us that felt specific to what we were interested in and wanted to see. He lets you rest if you want to rest, is easy to engage in meaningful conversation if you want to chat. His knowledge of the area also extends to his relationships with restaurant and shop owners. He took us to a wonderful locally owned restaurant in Faro called Old Tavern. We had a delicious meal and lots of laughs. The end of our day culminated in pasties de nata at Riviera. Gabriel loves Albufeira and it shows. I highly recommend him for your tour of the region!

My husband and I did the private day tour of Faro and Tavira, its a breathtaking tour.
