Le jardin Majorelle a été créé pour la première fois par le peintre français Jacques Majorelle en 1923. Il s'y était construit une villa et avait agrandi sa propriété en achetant d'autres parcelles de terrain remplies de la collection botanique du peintre du monde entier. Après la mort de Majorelle, le jardin fut délaissé et abandonné jusqu'à sa découverte par Yves Saint Laurent et Pierre Bergé qui firent restaurer la maison, enrichir le jardin botanique et lui redonnèrent leur gloire d'antan. La villa Studio abrite désormais un musée de la culture berbère qui contient le meilleur de la collection personnelle d'YSL d'objets berbères tels que des bijoux en argent authentiques faits à la main, des céramiques anciennes, des tapis et d'autres œuvres d'art.
Le minaret de la Koutoubia est le monument le plus célèbre de Marrakech. Elle est rattachée à la mosquée de la Koutoubia qui est construite à la fin du XIIe siècle. Ce n'est pas particulièrement très haut mais il domine la médina de Marrakech grâce à une loi de longue date qui interdit à tout autre bâtiment de la ville de s'élever au-dessus de la Koutoubia.
Le Mellah de Marrakech a été créé par décret du sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib de la dynastie saadienne en 1558, à l'extérieur des murs du palais El Badi. Aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles, le Mellah était l'une des principales zones commerciales de l'ancienne médina de Marrakech. Elle était autrefois habitée par des juifs expulsés de la péninsule ibérique après la reconquista.
Le Palais de la Bahía est un palais de la fin du XIXe siècle qui est surtout célèbre pour sa décoration la plus raffinée. Ses murs sont ornés de stucs sculptés de belles calligraphies arabes, de motifs géométriques et d'arabesques. Les plafonds sont bien décorés avec du bois de cèdre sculpté du moyen Atlas. Le sol est conçu et décoré avec des tuiles faites à la main appelées Zallij avec de belles couleurs provenant de ressources naturelles comme les minéraux et les plantes.

Le nombre de magasins est écrasant, 100 d'entre eux sur 100 mètres. Chaque section des souks a sa spécialité, avec des ruelles consacrées à tout, des épices et de la ferronnerie aux ingrédients nécessaires pour lancer des sorts magiques.

Need to pre book well in advance (several days !) for Jardin Majorelle. Hassan helped us to book the garden tickets otherwise we wouldn’t have got in . Hassan was a true local seemed to know everyone ! His knowledge was excellent, gave us lots of insight into the history and the local culture. Absolutely no pressure to buy at the stop offs , we appreciated being able to skip the long queues. Shared the certified shopping areas to avoid bro g scammed. Excellent recommendation for lunch , great food at very reasonable price. They accommodated our request to visit the local pottery market Had a fabulous day from start to finish 10/10. .

Hassen was the best! Highly recommend to do this the first full day you are in Marrakesh, Hassen can give you lots of recommendations on where to eat, shop, and other destinations to view! We had mentioned we were interested in seeing the Marrakesh Synagogues and he added a stop on the tour just to show them to us. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Hassan is an amazing guide! Knowledgeable, professional and kind. We booked two tours with him during our staying in Marrakesh; a private souks tour and a private city tour. I would highly recommend doing BOTH for a great full over view of the of the city! I can’t recommend Hassan enough!!!

It was a good experience. The guide was attentive. The driver was always available. We visited the main spots and even got some valuable tips. The Majorelle Garden part was a bit rushed.

Hassan was a really great guide! He was informative and made sure that we always got the best deals out of this shopping tour. He was also very patient with us when it took us quite some time to shop for some items. You have noticed long queues of travellers suffering at the entrance of monuments. 4/ You did not pay any extra fees except your payment which is mentioned clearly on the 100 % trusted Trip Advisor platform: Guide and vehicle with insurance for all risks. We are registered official suppliers for tours which means we get only our fees of service after we pay transport companies , other fees and different government taxes. Finally , no one had forced you to buy our services since you can go alone as you have said to the mentioned sites in the old Medina and new city for a 7 hours walking tour without a guide , vehicle or our fast access 🚶😇. We are at least lucky you have nothing to say about us as tour guides or vehicles quality. Therefore , just ask us to give you the money 💰since it’s expensive for you. Our prices are very fair compared to what I pay for a lower quality service during my visits to Paris. We do care more about the happiness of travellers more than gathering money 🥰 . Please , just connect with us and ask for money and we can do it easily but be always fair and honest. Please , as a French traveller who doesn’t understand or speak English , never book English speaking tours because It was very difficult for you to understand or communicate in English which is I guess the reason why you give to my 5 star service a lower rating .
