So much fun!!! Made great pastries and the chef was great!! Had a blast definitely would recommend to others visiting!!
This was so much fun! The chef is amazing. We made a delicious cake, cookies and candy. We were with 2 other couples, one from Australia and another from USA. We all had a great time. I highly recommend.
Wow, so nice! A really fun experience with a lot of souvenirs. If you don't want to get loudly instructed by a French chef, why are you here?
Casual and fun. We were a small group of 8. We were paired off with a partner, given all the utensils we needed and step by step instructions. In toal we made 3 desserts.
Lovely small international group of keen amateur cooks. Thierry fun and professional in delivery. (Some of our favourite quotes in the title). Picked up lots of great tips. Learned to make pink praline which we didn’t know existed until we reached Lyon. Fab way to spend a few hours.
The class was detailed and we enjoyed the chocolate and desserts we made. However, the recipes were never sent even after sending a request.
In a matter of 15 or 20 minutes, Terry (Thierry) had us baking three items from the same dough and entertaining us right and left. He was “arrogant and sarcastic In the French manner”, always In a self-deprecating way.” When someone asked a baking question, he answered with authority and experience, sometimes in a teasing manner. We left with a package full of goodies for friends or for ourselves, very satisfying!
Chef was fun and made the cooking simple to follow. It was a nice small group of us with lots of personal attention. No one was made to feel they were doing a bad job. The results were tasty!
Great class. Leon spoke great English and was very warm and open about why and how to do different things. Has a great sense of humor too.
This class was a dream for anyone who loves cooking or baking. We learned so much about the culture and history of praline and other local dishes in Lyon. This was such a unique way of experiencing local cuisine and I will remember this trip for a lifetime. Thierry was delightful and put so much energy into the class. We had so many goodies to enjoy afterwards and to bring home as souvenirs. I would absolutely recommend this class as a way to experience Lyon hands-on!
