Notre visite à pied Talking Through Art offre un aperçu amusant, informatif et personnel unique de la culture, de l'histoire et de la vie quotidienne de Gikondo. Vous aurez l'occasion d'explorer certaines des zones cachées de notre communauté locale, en vous immergeant dans la culture rwandaise et la vie quotidienne dans ce quartier animé et dynamique de Kigali. Votre visite à pied sera dirigée par un guide local qui a vécu et travaillé à Gikondo toute sa vie et qui est une mine d'informations intéressantes ! Nous vous conduirons dans l'un des marchés de rue traditionnels animés du quartier où vous pourrez explorer des produits locaux frais et profiter de l'atmosphère animée. Nous nous arrêterons pour une délicieuse collation de sambusa fraîchement préparée et ferons une pause dans un magasin de lait à proximité où vous pourrez essayer l'ikivuguto réfrigéré, une boisson rwandaise traditionnelle.

Notre visite à pied commence à Talking Through Art avec une introduction à l'histoire du centre et au travail que nous faisons ici. Vous aurez l'occasion d'explorer notre galerie tout en dégustant le café ou le thé local. Vous aurez également le temps d'échanger et de rencontrer nos tisserands.

I really enjoyed this walking tour in Kigali with TTA. Our local guide Omar was the best we could have wished for. He connected small neighbourhood details to the bigger picture of Kigali and Rwanda’s history and culture. This way we could really feel the city. He was clearly a part of the community, people greeted him along the way, which made the experience feel authentic and personal. I came away with a much deeper understanding of Kigali and would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in meaningful local insight rather than just sightseeing.

We got a really good tour through the neighborhood together with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Through him we could easily visit the streets beyond the “ordinary”, see regular shops and experience the pulse of the city. We were a bunch of friends and had a long series of questions that the guide was happy to answer. Highly recommend this hike, as well as a visit to their nice shop!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Talking Through Art walking tour. The tour allowed me to walk the roads where the people of Rwanda live and get a glimpse of the neighborhood and how the community works. My tour guide was a lovely young man who was knowledgeable of the area and curious about other cultures and communities. The weaving that was done by the local women was outstanding. I only wish I had more room in my suitcase! I highly recommend this tour.
