Tour guide had no idea what she was doing. Places she brought us had terrible food. One one restaurant, she got us lost and walked 20min in the wrong direction
Tour guide was acceptable but didnt share many facts or stories, we could have walked ourselves around for less cost. It was nice to have someone take you into certain restaurants. We choose this tour in part due to the photos that our guide would take, however the tour company has not shared any of the group photos despite multiple Whatsapp requests, which is very disapointing.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing night with Miharu. We had wonderful food, drinks, and conversations. She made us feel right at home! Such great memories were made that night. Lots of laughs too! I can’t thank you enough, Miharu. You truly made the beginning of our vacation perfect. Arigato gozaimasu! 🥰 - Morgan and Jordan
Miharu was a great guide with lots of knowledge about the food and social history of the areas we visited. She chose a good variety of restaurants where we were able to sample a range of cuisines and have a true local experience. Highly recommend!
We are immensely grateful for your wonderful review. It's heartening to know that Miharu's extensive knowledge about the food and social history of the areas you visited was so well-appreciated, and that you thoroughly enjoyed the authentic local experiences at the various restaurants.
I was looking forward to a great night in Shunjuku but have to admit I was disappointed with this tour. Our guide was lovely but there was only my husband and I on the tour and this made for a slightly uncomfortable evening. I would have liked to learn more about japanese customs and the history of the area during the tour. The food was fine but there should be a mininmum number for the tour to take place. For a better experience, only book if you have a group with you.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear that you found our guide lovely, but we're sorry to learn that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the number of participants. While we do conduct tours for small groups, including couples, we strive to ensure an engaging and comfortable experience for all guests. We believe that smaller groups can offer a more personalized and intimate exploration of Shinjuku's rich culture and history. Regarding the depth of information shared about Japanese customs and the history of the area, our guides are well-equipped to provide detailed insights and answer any specific questions guests may have. We encourage guests to express their interests during the tour, so our guides can tailor the information accordingly. Thank you for choosing our tour, and we hope to serve you better in the future.
I had a decent experience. The food was good but felt like bad value for money since you only get 3 meals which would cost a fraction of the tour price if you had purchased the food yourself. The drinks were good. The tour guide felt somewhat unfriendly and didn't share much information about Japanese culture
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the food and drinks, but we're sorry to hear about your concerns regarding value and the tour guide experience. Please understand that our tour prices reflect not only the food but also the cultural insights and unique experiences we strive to provide. Regarding the guide, we continuously work on training, especially with newer guides, to enhance our service. Your input on meal selections and guide interactions is valuable to us, and we will use it to improve our tours. Thank you for choosing our tour, and we hope to serve you better in the future.
Fumi was a fantastic host. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He speaks very good English. We highly recommend this tour. Loved all the secret bars and restaurants.
This is the perfect way for the Solo traveller to spend an evening !!! Our guide, Fumi, made sure everyone in the group was engaged and having an amazing time. Even though our group ended up being a bit larger that normal he kept us all comfortable and connected. I would absolutely do this again. Thanks Fumi !!!
Absolutely recommend this tour! Our tour Guide Mayu was pure delightful! She took us around Shinjuku to some traditional Japanese food restaurants and the food was amazing just so delicious and the drinks were very yummy too! We learnt a lot about Japanese etiquette and culture. My partner and I were lucky enough to have Mayu as our own personal guide! When we come back we would love to do this tour again :) Great food and fabulous company!
Perfect tour if you like small groups and a more personal tour. We were a group of 3 and our guide was amazing. The price included all food and drinks. Went to a number of bars and restaurants where we were shown local drinking customs and etiquette. More importantly we ate dishes which we would not necessarily order ourselves which was a truly enjoyable experience.
