Fun experience. Guide was great and explained the area well. Wish I had been able to see more of the ice formations that are shown in photos, but I went in August and there wasn’t much. Still, the cave and things inside were very interesting to experience and learn about. Highly recommend.
Tada was mine and my brother’s guide and he gave us such a wonderful experience. We are both interested in history and Tada told us a lot about the area and the caves and forest. Plus, he fought a bear and won and that’s pretty awesome.
Tada was very knowledgable about the forest -- he discussed the plants, mushrooms, and animals with my kids and they loved it. The wind cave that we went to (not any of the major ones) was a bit challenging for my 8 year olds mainly because it was cold. Probably a good idea to bring gloves. But overall it was a fun experience!
Incredible experience, with Toshi out guide who made it an educational and humorous. Be sure to wear really good warm clothing as it does get chilly. Before the cave the walk through the forest was quite out of this world.
Enjoyable hike. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about the geological events. Recommend.
We had an incredible experience on the Mt. Fuji ice cave excursion and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our guide, Tada, was outstanding—his English was excellent, making the tour easy to follow and enjoyable throughout. As a local with many years of experience, he shared fascinating insights about the caves, Mt. Fuji, and the surrounding region that we never would have learned on our own. His expertise, professionalism, and enthusiasm made this one of the highlights of our trip!
Very fun and educational. Host was friendly, funny we learned a lot about the local ecology. Be aware you do need to do some climbing
Really great tour, Toshi was a great and personable guide! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to the Aokigahara forest
I had a good time with Toshi-san! Very knowledgeable about the flora and the fauna of the forest. The descend to the cave is slightly dangerous, but not difficult. Toshi-san makes sure of my safety. The ice formations are cool! Definitely a nice, quick little sidetrip when in Kawaguchiko.
I booked this tour to get away from the crowds and I was not left disappointed. Absolutely had an amazing time exploring this beautiful forest and learning it's rich history. The ice caves are spectacular and would highly recommend anyone looking for an immersive experience while wanting to learn the local history to book this tour. 10/10 based on the humour and the interesting facts I learnt on this tour alone 😊
