This was a wonderful tour. Antoine provided just the right amount of history and stories to make the abbey walls come alive. He has a dry sense of humor and considerable knowledge about the area, as well as about US history. He also chose a lovely place for lunch with excellent local food choices. Plus a visit to a heavenly caramel store. A great guide! Also, this was a good time to go. Although there were plenty of visitors, it was not packed, so navigating the stairs, twists, and turns and listening to the audio tour was great. Thanks, Antoine!

Wonderful tour with a small group and very knowledgeable and personable guide. Our guide Louis's love for the Mont was evident and he made a point of making our experience a memorable one. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing day with Stephen exploring Mont Saint Michele and the Brittany American Cemetery. Stephen was very knowledgeable about the Mont and also shared insights on D-Day, as well as strategies before and after the invasion. Note that much of the time spent inside the Mont is with a self-directed tablet tour and therefore lacks the personal touch of an interactive guide. Also, one takes the bus from the parking lot to the Mont and back, so if one is interested in walking to the Mont (the time for which is not available for this tour), consider other options. But this was still very much worthwhile and we very much enjoyed our time with Stephen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our daylong trip to beautiful Mont Saint Michel round trip from Bayeaux. It was so easy to meetup to board the van. We had the best tour guide. Oliver was delightful, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. He, no doubt, was the most nattily dressed guide in town! I would highly recommend this tour.

My husband and i did the Overlord Tour and on the second day we did the trip to St Michel and our Tour Guide was Jean. He was also a great tour guide and extremely knowledgeable in everything regarding D-Day and St Michel.

I took tour to Mont St Michel & Brittany American cemetery with Jean Dilasser. Jean was very friendly and knowledgeable answered all questions. Recommence tour, maybe very busy depending on time of year.

The entire day (from pick up to drop off) was a delight. Our tour leader was fantastic. He gave so much interesting history and information as we were driving to Mont Sant Michel. And then guided/walked us to and through the 300 steps up to the Abbey. I recommend this tour company and our host.

Amazing experience. The pre-trip communication from Overlord Tours is great with everything you need to know. Our guide was Jean Dilasser, and he was perfect all day, from ensuring the minibus was comfortable for us (we were there during a heatwave) and he had plenty of water and umbrellas for shade. All throughout the day he was super friendly, and very informative. The overall trip price was well worth it considering it also included the admission ti the Abbey. Jean also made sure that our whole group got into the Abbey as on the day they were closing access off early due to the heat. This is the second time we've used Overlord for tours in Normandy and we will definitely book again. Well recommended!

This was a great tour. Our guide, Jack, was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and charming. Our tour included transportation to the Abbey parking lot, the bus ride across the bridge, a ticket into the abbey, time on our own in Mont St Michel, and a stop at the US cemetery at Saint James. Why did I only give four stars? The start time. By meeting at 8:20, we arrived at Mont St Michel, when the rest of humanity did. We had to wait 20 minutes for the shuttle bus to get to the island, then walk up to the abbey shoulder to shoulder with everyone. If we could’ve left an hour or even a half hour earlier, I think it would have made a huge difference. It was incredibly hot on the island and compounded with all the people, we were ready to go after an hour. We found some refuge by leaving the walled area, wandering outside and finding some shade near a garrison. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend seeing this amazing place to anyone as it is truly unique.

Despite the sweltering heat we had a great tour. The meet up was straightforward and the minibus was comfortable. Our guide was Jean and he’s was really great, knowledgeable and really friendly and very considerate of the passenger’s needs. Our friends had used Overlord previously and we would definitely use them again.
