La visite commence dans un monument religieux du XIIe siècle au cœur de la Médina de Marrakech, Jemaa el Fna. De là, vous serez guidé à travers une brève histoire du Maroc, suivie d'aperçus sur Marrakech et la mosquée de la Koutoubia.
Mellah est le quartier juif où la tour guilde vous expliquera les différents types de bâtiments de Marrakech (maisons juives et musulmanes) et aura une idée générale des directions à l'intérieur de la médina. Cela prendra environ 10 minutes ici, puis marchera jusqu'au palais de la Bahia qui se trouve à proximité (moins de 2 minutes).
Vous découvrirez l'architecture mauresque et verrez comment vivait le vizir à la fin du 19ème siècle.. Bahia Palace était le palais le plus incroyable à cette époque et il est d'environ 8 hectares; spacieux, bien décoré et beau. N'importe qui aimerait passer plus de 30 minutes à l'intérieur, prendre des photos, observer Zelij, marbre, stuc sculpté et bien plus encore.. puis la visite se dirigera vers Madrasa Ben Youssef en passant par le Souk et visiter une boutique de plantes (facultatif) qui prendra entre 30-60 minutes..
Dégustez une tasse de thé dans une coopérative tout en découvrant la façon culinaire, cosmétique et traditionnelle d'utiliser les herbes, les épices et les huiles
Explorez les souks animés de Marrakech en visitant trois sections principales: le souk en cuir, où des artisans qualifiés fabriquent de la maroquinerie complexe; le souk du forgeron et des lampes, qui abrite de superbes lampes marocaines; et le marché aux olives, débordant de produits locaux. Vous aurez également la chance d'observer un artisan sculpter des stucs délicats, une technique que vous avez vue précédemment au palais de Bahia. Une expérience vraiment immersive dans le riche savoir-faire de Marrakech !

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace ruins and the Souk. Amayyur is a history scholar and gave a detailed and fascinating explanation of the development of North Africa through the centuries. His guided tour through the Souk was excellent. We had a wonderful day touring Marrakech with Brahim, who taught us so much about the history, languages, culture, and cuisines of Marrakech and Morocco!
