Jessie was our guide and she was very passionate about the Alaskan culture and whales. Captain Hook put us in the middle of some great Orcas and hump backs. Overall a great experience for the entire family.
The tour was exceptional. Zoey and Captain Hoock were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. We saw 8-10 whale tails and at the end two whales came clearly out of the water. Additionally, we saw otters, crabs, sea lions, eagles, and dolphins.
Allison, Grace, Jesse and Capt Scott were great. Saw Goose breach at least a dozen times, and the porcupines. Amazing!
This was a fabulous trip out of Juneau, AK to see whales, followed by a short hike to see the Mendenhall Glacier. A couple of things made this trip special. First, it was a small group of people, making it much more intimate than some of the larger group tours that go out whale watching. Second, our guide, Kristen, was just amazing!! She had a wealth of knowledge and experience, and was friendly and very personable. She was also an incredible photographer who shared tips on how to get the best pictures whether you had a DSLR or an IPhone. Shout out to Captain Rob also, who took us to some great spots where we saw Humpback whales and Orcas. 10/10…highly recommend!
Great integration and education.
What a great experience we had for our whale watching photo safari. This was the one I most wanted when we were picking our excursions for our crusie, as it offered the things I'd want the most...small group, tips for improving my photography and whale sightings. And it truly delivered! Being with a smaller group meant there was enough space for us to see what we wanted to see, everyone was pleasant and kind. The boat captain (Terry?) was knowledgeable about the area and respectful of the whales by cutting the engine and staying a respectful distance away but close enough. The guide, Collin, was super knowledgeable and offered useful photography tips for all types of devices (actual cameras, iPhones, Droids). After the whale watching, we boarded Fudge's bus for a walk through the rainforest to see the Mendenhall Glacier. Collin's photo tips were useful and helpful here, as he pointed out interesting and important sights for us to see. This was a great tour from start to finish, the guests and the staff all happy to be together and enjoy the many whales we got to see, including Goose and Flame. Highly recommend!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We had an amazing time on this tour with Jezzy as our guide. The tour was the perfect length and combined photography "tips and tricks", brief history about the glacier, a moderate hike in the rainforest and a great whale watching experience in a safe environment. The group size was small enough that the tour was personable. Jezzy was engaging, knowledgeable and funny. My son thoroughly enjoyed the tour and especially Jezzy's photography tips on getting the best wildlife photos. We saw sea lions, humpback whales, so many eagles, black bears, and a porcupine! Highly recommend booking this tour and requesting Jezzy as your guide!
Julian is a great guide. He told great stories about his experience in Alaska and was able to give us amazing insights about the area and the history behind it. He was also very funny! The sights were amazing, and the photography opportunities were endless.
This was a cruise excursion through Oceania. It was a fabulous trip. The whale watching was incredible. Our guide, Grace was awesome. She gave us lots of good information and tips on taking pictures and cameras in our phones. The well watching was my favorite excursion.
Haylee was a wealth of knowledge, was helpful, made things interesting and you can tell just from the way she presents herself that she truly loves her job and is passionate about the area and all it has to offer. We got to see and do a little bit of everything, wilderness walks, glacier and waterfall viewing and whale watching. The driver was excellent (I think her name was Katie), and Captain Levi was also great.
