L'isthme de Corinthe est une étroite bande de terre qui relie la péninsule du Péloponnèse à la Grèce continentale. Il est célèbre pour le canal de Corinthe, une prouesse d'ingénierie remarquable qui coupe l'isthme, créant un raccourci entre la mer Ionienne et la mer Égée
Le Diolkos était une ancienne voie pavée du 6 siècle avant J.-C. qui traversait l'isthme de Corinthe en Grèce. Il était utilisé pour transporter des navires par voie terrestre, ce qui leur permettait d'éviter le long et dangereux voyage maritime autour de la péninsule du Péloponnèse.
Le port antique de Cenchreae était l'un des deux ports principaux de Corinthe, une puissante cité-État de la Grèce antique. Située sur le golfe Saronique, Cenchreae a servi de plaque tournante vitale pour le commerce et le transport. C'était également un site paléochrétien significatif, mentionné dans le Nouveau Testament comme le lieu où l'apôtre Paul a entrepris son dernier voyage vers Éphèse.

The communication before the tour was timely and accurate. Not only did the tour company touch base, but so did Nick, our incredible driver and guide! We did a shore excursion from the cruise ship, so timing was important. Nick was early, and got us back to the ship at the time we requested. We were looking for a Biblical tour, and Nick was very knowledgeable about the time Paul visited Corinth. He was able to point out sites mentioned in the Bible as well as archaeological evidence of Paul’s time in Corinth. I use a wheelchair for mobility, and because of Nicks foresight, I don’t think I missed a thing!!
Our guide was very knowledgeable with many interesting facts about St Paul and the experience he had with the Greeks in Corinth. He answered our many questions with excellent English. We really enjoyed our time with Theodore.

We also stopped at the Corinth Canal, an engineering marvel with breathtaking views. The scenery throughout the tour was stunning, with a perfect mix of history and natural beauty. Transportation was comfortable, and we had just the right amount of time at each stop to explore, take photos, and absorb the atmosphere. Whether you’re a history lover or just looking for a unique experience in Greece, this tour is a must! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent tour. Our guide, Ruslan was curious, friendly and very informative. He pointed out many sights along the way and we stopped at several for photos and explanations of what we were looking at. The museum and archeological site of Corinth was outstanding and Ruslan provided ample time to enjoy and explore the area.
