DO NOT USE THIS OPERATOR! We booked this tour through Viator. We were at the pickup spot 15 minutes prior to the tour start. At 2 minutes after the scheduled start we sent a message to the operator that we were waiting. No Response. At 5 minutes after we tried calling the operator. No answer! We messaged again at 10 minutes past the scheduled start. Still no response. Finally we called Viator at 20 minutes past pick up. Viator tried to call the operator and they did not get an answer either. They said they would send us an email with an update. After 45 minutes past our pickup time we called Viator again. Viator tried calling the operator again! Still no answer! We had now waisted an hour standing on a street corner in Bourdeaux and essentially the day as we had no tour! Viator is issuing a full refund but unfortunately we lost a precious day in Bourdeaux! Viator did what they could financially, unffortunately valuable time will not be recovered!
The whole thing was an issue. Took into only one Margaux vineyard on a Margaux tour. Car was tiny!!!
Hi Mr luke, We would to Thank you for your review, so the 1st chateau was was 2 km from margaux land & its one of the must beautiful chateau in medoc area monument historique chateau was built in 1238 one of must important chatezu in the medoc so for seconde one you was so happy with it since its one of bigges in margaux land with very special architecture & you have the privet & exclusive visit to chateau museum then in the end you forget to mention your requeste to be dropoff in your hotel wich is normaly an extra & our gentel guide made it for free specialy in that traffic time 3 km for 30mins. Wich you a great vacation in Bordeaux. Warm regards

Poor value for the cost. We went to two chateaus: the first chateau had a good overview of the winery but the tasting was not enjoyable taste wise, there was no description given on tasting notes and there was no outdoor vineyard vines to visit (only cellars). The second chateau had a pretty castle and a cute ambiance for the tasting, nothing terribly special but a unique hut. The entire bottle was 18 euros if you bought it, so makes you wonder what a tasting costs 10 euros? What are you paying for in this 170+ euro tour. Then we were taken to a third chateau just to look at the gate? no tasting or tour, which felt pointless. In all, the tastings were not enjoyable we spent an hour total at the two chateaus and more time just driving around. The driver was nice and amicable but not knowledgeable at all. The second place also did not give tasting notes. Notes

So please let me detail your journey with us : First you book 45 min before our departure & we made it , we start first visit chateau desmirail grand cru classé 1855 ( check reviews & classification of this winery) located in the centre of Margaux cantenac & you had 2 glass of red wine & one rose & one white wine so total is 5 tasting for 1:15 mins. Second chateau was chateau d’agassac ( grand cru bourgeois & classify monument historic ) you have 3 tasting wine & 1:00 tasting & chateau visiting. In description you pay for 6 tasting & you get 8 tasting regarding the cost when you say 10 euro tasting is 2 wine tasting with out guided tour so the price you pay including full access to chateau guided tour & wine tasting plus transportation. So you been in the vineyard & you test the grappe & our driver take you many pictures for you & For all the group between the vines The driver give you city & village & itinerary information so the rest is guide wine expert so you get the response for all questions regarding wine making & chateaux history. Regarding the last stop in chateau Margaux us mention in tour description & what all agency they do the same its just to enjoy the beauty of the famous chateau & take pictures for memory so you got it. I had very good feedback from rest of the group but such that we had chateaux that we collaborate since long time & if you want a specific chateau we can do that in be spoke private tour so you gonna choose chateaux us you want. We are a group of girls from asia and we were made to change our plans for the day last minute. So glad that I chanced upon this tour and decided to try out the tour as it was still available. Amin was a kind, courteous guide. He explained the places of interests to us along the way and he even took the initiative when I mentioned that we were hungry and asked if the chateau served food. As restaurant was closed, he took the extra mile to drive out to buy us some sandwiches n soda. His considerate personality didnt stop there. When we chatted and when he knew that we were off to stay in a chateau for the night- he offered to send us to our destination. Thank u for your wonderful services, Amin. 👍🏻
