Expérience de randonnée dans la charmante vallée de la Lune de 4 heures à Djeddah

This was a wonderful experience. The drive through the Moon Valley was beautiful and the scenery is so different to anywhere else I’ve seen. The hike itself was incredible. It wasn’t too challenging, although it did get the adrenaline pumping in places. We had a few options on how to ascend the mountain and we chose the one where we hiked through some caves and caverns. It was exciting and the sunset views along the way were spectacular. At the top, we watched the sun go down with some Arabic coffee and snacks. As it was my birthday, our two guides did a little birthday surprise which made the day even more special. Our guides were truly wonderful: funny, knowledgeable and so, so friendly. We stayed at the top of Moon Mountain as the sun went down and star gazed for a couple of hours with some bats for company. It was a really magical way to spend an afternoon in Saudi Arabia and I would thoroughly recommend this hike to anyone visiting Jeddah.

What an absolutely once in a lifetime experience. My son and I had an unforgettable afternoon with our guide Ibrahim who was excellent. Picked us up promptly at our hotel and drove into the desert for the Moon Mountain hike. Stunning views and seemed like you were on another planet. Hike can be steep at times but you are rewarded with a great view. Thanks for a great afternoon Ibrahim!

It was a somewhat easy hike if you’re an active person. Moderate if you’re not. But either way, the reward at the top is magnificent. Beautiful view 360deg around. Guide even prepared a small basket of dates and coffee for us to enjoy while waiting for the sun to set. Recommended esp if you want to see more nature in Jeddah. Don’t forget your hiking shoes!

This hike is absolutely gorgeous and totally worth the ~1 hour drive from Jeddah. Just note that the climbing at the top is a little tricky -not for the faint of heart. But the organizing by Ferial was great -- she helped make sure that I could do the trip on very short notice and was very kind. The guide Amer was also wonderful: very kind, helpful, and thoughtful. Absolutely recommend!

We absolutely loved this experience! Ferial was punctual, professional and overall an amazingly competent guide! She is passionate about what she does. Adapts the trip to weather and sunset hours. She’s got outstanding social skills and reads the group and it’s needs. She is there when needed but also gives you space to enjoy the adventure. She is very welcoming to foreigners and is happy to share her country. Definitely recommend!

The hike was very enjoyable, Abdul is a very nice and mindful guide, making the trip as much fun as possible. As for the hike itself, like the description says, it's not too long. The difficulty also isn't too high. However, there may be some places when you wouldn't feel comfortable if you're completely unprepared. For a professional hiker (whom I'm not) it's probably like a walk in a park though.
