This cultural center is a hidden gem. Everything felt well organized but still relaxed and cozy. You don’t feel like a tourist here — you feel like a guest who is truly welcomed. It’s a wonderful way to learn about Chinese traditions through hands-on activities.

It was a lot of fun, we didn’t expect that) my friend came from Serbia and we went together. Everything was so well organized, even snacks looked like a full dinner buffet. We were provided with all the materials, teacher and translator. The area of the center had tea zone and places for painting. We took masks and some colors home to finish who didn’t have enough time to do it in the center. The owner of the center was so lovely. She took a lot of pictures of us with the masks. Definitely I would go there again and highly recommended. Thank you.

I experienced traditional Chinese tea, calligraphy, painting, and food at the Chinatown Cultural Center. Had the opportunity to volunteer to paint my face as the Monkey King. 👑 If you are in Shanghai, I highly recommend visiting this center. The experience was enriching and gave me a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture. The staff was friendly, and the activities were engaging. Overall, it was a memorable evening filled with art and delicious food.
