Description

Authentic traditional mallorquina cooking handed down generation to generation
If you are looking for the type of homely cooking that your grandmother fed you with the Mallorcan culture as your base, this is the right place to be. Paula has created an authentic kitchen dining space with abundant ambience. Paula is clearly passionate about her craft and deserves to be proud of what she is achieved. She tailors the dishes you want to learn based on your needs and what is in season. Her stories and knowledge of both the history and methods behind not just the recipes but cheesemaking, coffee making, and more, were amazing. My godson and I really enjoyed the experience. Attending the actual class was like being transported into the real local environment with a neighbour dropping in and sharing a glass of Palo with me (which he served) and chatting about common interests. I was also fortunate enough a week or so later to join Paula on her market tour with another group. Being able to interact with local vendors in person was a pleasure. Paula was so generous to us all.

A day to remember
Paula, Paula… I’m still emotional after meeting you today. 🥹❤️
I booked this experience months ago, accidentally choosing the wrong date. When you reached out to remind me, I apologized for my mistake, hoping we could somehow still make it happen. And today, we finally met. Now I’m sitting here with the fullest heart, so grateful that we did.
From the moment we met, there was something about you that felt like home. Walking through the market with you, watching you buzz around with so much warmth and purpose, was beautiful. Your love for your culture shines through everything you do. You can feel that this is your passion, and how much joy you find in sharing it.
Then you welcomed us into your home, and somehow we all felt like we belonged. You made everyone feel comfortable, capable, and like a real cook. Between the amazing food, the laughter, and the beautiful conversations, I found myself tearing up more than once. Sometimes someone’s kindness touches a part of your heart you weren’t expecting, and the tears come before you can explain them.
That’s what today felt like.
Thousands of miles from my own home, you gave me that feeling of being at home with you. I’ll remember what we cooked and how delicious everything tasted, but I’ll treasure how you made us feel even more.
Thank you for sharing your kitchen, your culture, and your heart with us. You made my Mallorca trip so much more special, and gave me a memory I’ll hold close long after my suitcase is unpacked. What a gift it was to meet you. ❤️

A great surprise, excellent in every respect.
The day-long cookery course
I booked this for six people with some trepidation, as our tapas course in Malaga was quite a dismal affair. Our fears were soon dissipated when, on arrival, we were met with a bouncy, happy, enthusiastic Paula, who made us all feel at home in a very happy atmosphere. We were soon greeted with drinks and snacks that quickly reunited the group of approximately 10 or 12 people. We were instructed on how to produce quite a complicated local dish, which was largely based on vegetables. Nonetheless, everyone was captivated, and I'm sure everyone was soon immersed in this delightful, happy course.
We were introduced to a large local dish, consisting largely of vegetables. Perhaps it is a bit too complicated for me to recall, but nonetheless, the taste was superb and enjoyed by everyone.
I would have enjoyed learning smaller dishes, giving a better impression of Mallorcan cookery. Nevertheless, perhaps this is a calling for another visit in the future.
Certainly, I would have no hesitation in returning here. It painted a much better picture than my earlier experiences and can be summed up as being a really fun day.

Relaxed cooking experience
It was a wonderful experience. Paula didn't give anyone major instructions, it felt like cooking with family. We thought the course would be in German, but we all got along well in the end anyway. I would book it again anytime.

From Market to Table – A Truly Special Day
We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Paula of Soqueta. From the moment we met at the Mercado d’Olivar in Palma, she opened up a world of insider knowledge—introducing us to hidden gems, passionate stallholders, and the finest produce Mallorca has to offer. We bought wonderful ingredients under her guidance, and the whole market tour felt like stepping into the heart of Mallorcan life.
Afterwards, we went to her place where the magic truly began. Together, we cooked an array of authentic Mallorcan dishes, learning not only recipes but also the traditions and stories behind them. The food was delicious, the setting warm and welcoming, and Paula’s generosity of spirit made the entire day unforgettable.
Paula is warm, generous, and makes the whole day fun and relaxed. It felt like spending time with a friend while discovering authentic Mallorca. Highly recommended!

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
We spent half a day with the sweetest Poula, who taught us how to cook authentic Mallorcan food. Fresh ingredients, a warm and wonderful personality, and food that tasted absolutely heavenly.
We can wholeheartedly recommend this cooking class! And just a tip – leave the car at home, because drinks are included… and there’s more where that came from 😉
Thank you for an amazing experience.
– Kind regards,
Mother & Daughter

Immerse yourself in Mallorcas way of life
If you’re looking for an authentic culinary adventure that takes you beyond the tourist experience and straight into the heart of Palma de Mallorca’s, this cooking class is an absolute must. From start to finish, it was a perfect blend of cultural immersion and hands-on cooking that left us with unforgettable memories—and some new favorite recipes!
The recipes were carefully chosen to represent true Mallorcan home cooking—this wasn’t restaurant-style food; it was what real families make at home. Our instructor Paola”s passion was contagious. It was like having lunch with old friends, surrounded by the warmth and spirit of Mallorca.
If you’re in Palma and want an experience that feels genuine, personal, and incredibly fulfilling, I couldn’t recommend this cooking class highly enough. It’s an experience that goes beyond just learning recipes—you get a true taste of life here, and a connection to this beautiful island that will stay with you long after you’ve gone.
