Horaires et activités : Une fois arrivé, vous accueillerez la manière traditionnelle fidjienne avec un accueil fidjien qui comprend une boisson traditionnelle Kava, avant le début des activités. Explorez le centre culturel pour en apprendre davantage sur la riche histoire et les traditions des îles Yasawa et sur la grotte historiquement importante à côté de laquelle se trouve le centre. Profitez d'un spectacle de meke (musique et danse), participez à un atelier d'artisanat fidjien, découvrez les plantes médicinales locales, profitez d'une démonstration de cuisine fidjienne et plongez avec tuba dans les superbes jardins de coraux sous-marins de l'île de Kuata dans cette zone de réserve marine. La journée se termine par un traditionnel adieu.

A big part of this for me was to snorkel which they decided the waves were too rough for us to out. But oddly enough they let the first group go out, when you pay this much money and get only half of the experience it’s not good. I do understand they are looking out for the group. But we basically sat there for over 2 hours.

For safety reasons, water-based activities such as snorkeling are always assessed on the day based on prevailing sea and weather conditions. These decisions are made by our crew with guest safety as the highest priority. On occasions where conditions are variable, activity timing or group rotations may be adjusted to ensure safe participation where possible. This was the most authentic and memorable experience of our entire trip to Fiji. From the moment we walked along a beautiful, greenery-lined path to a beachfront hut, it felt special. We were welcomed with a traditional kava ceremony led by the village chief and local Kuata villagers. Sitting in the hut with the sound of ocean waves during the ceremony was truly surreal and unforgettable. Afterwards, we enjoyed traditional singing and dancing, then were taken to a cave where stories were shared. We drank fresh coconuts and enjoyed a delicious traditional Fijian meal, including kokoda, cooked in a wood-fired stone oven. This experience was easily the highlight of our 10-day trip. If you’re looking to step outside the resort bubble and connect with authentic Fijian culture, I can’t recommend the Kuata Cultural Tour highly enough. We left with a deep appreciation for Fiji’s indigenous communities and their traditions.

This is a great cultural experience - to learn about Fijian customs and traditions. Visitors will experience welcome ritual, drinking kava, singing, dancing and cooking. The cave setting for this visit is unique.

Beautiful island. Need to be physically capable to transfer from catamaran to small boat to get to island . The workers on small boat were very helpful . The Fijians on the island were extremely friendly and hospitable . A fun day .

Napoleon and Bella did a wonderful job showing us an authentic kava ceremony. This experience is a lot deeper than other kava ceremonies because afterwards they lead you up to a cave where their ancestors first originated. The feed you some freshly made local dishes as well. I really thought this was an unique time on the island.
