Expérience café à Bijagua

We had a wonderful experience at Finca Nueva Vida. This small family-run coffee farm offers a truly authentic and welcoming tour. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel at home and shared their passion for coffee and the land. The tour walks you through the entire process—from growing and harvesting the coffee cherries to drying, fermenting, roasting, and brewing the final cup. Seeing everything done on a small family farm gave us a real appreciation for how much work and care goes into producing great coffee. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the coffee tasting at the end was delicious. My kids learned how to make empanadas with abuela! We even saw a tapir!!! If you’re near Bijagua or visiting the Rio Celeste area, this is a fantastic way to experience local culture and support a hardworking family farm. We simply stopped by on our way to the Liberia airport, not even a detour!! Highly recommend.

Great family run coffee plantation. Very educational and I now appreciate my morning cafe so much more knowing the process it takes to get a coffee bean. Also had a lesson in tortilla making. Bought some coffee to bring home. I would go back.

My fiancé and I had the best time ever! Our tour guide was Dayro and he was funny and taught us so much! Truly it was a great experience!
