A life list must!

Our tour guide, Fabio, was fun and knowledgeable! With his itinerary suggestions for the day we were able to hike both upper and lower trails of Iguazu National Park (Argentina Side) and go on the boat tour which goes under the falls! The Devil’s throat trail that was damaged in 2023 was closed. Fabio suggested we go to the Brazil side of Iguazu Falls so we could see Devil’s throat water falls (additional fee). Our driver for the day was great and his car was clean! It was well worth the cost to have a private tour because it made it possible for us to do so much in one day and to be on our own schedule. The tour company should advise their clients that even though they are arranging the air transfers from your hotel and airplane tickets, that there will be no tour guide until you reach Iguazu Falls Airport. We had to make a name change on our airplane ticket at the airport and were told by the tour company that it could be done at the airport. The airport transfer car was not clean. The driver dropped us off with no other instructions. We tried to call the after hours emergency number for the travel agency and no one returned our call until AFTER we had resolved the issue on our own.

Ticked off the Bucket List

Our day started very early but the driver arrived on time and passage through the airport was unbelievably fast. Iguazu Falls were phenomenal and certainly lived up to expectations but you will walk so plenty of water and take it easy!! Our guide Augusto was excellent knowledgeable and set the pace accordingly to our wishes. Late flight back to Buenos Aires and pick up all went smoothly. A definite must do!!

Trip to Buenos Aires & Iguazu Falls

My wife and I booked a cruise from Ushuaia to Santiago. We wanted to tour Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls but didn't know how to arrange this trip. We contacted Ripio Truismo for help planning this trip and were glad we did. Lucia Rubio helped us through some iterations to plan our trip. All of our transfers were on time with great drivers. The first day in Buenos Area we did a 3 hour walking tour. The 2nd day we did a 4 hour of the city including a wine tasting. In the evening we were treated to a wine and Tango show at La Ventana that was a highlight of our time in Buenos Aires. The next day we flew to Puerto Iguazu, Argentina and stayed at the Panoramic Grand Hotel which is located on a bluff above the Iguana River - great location. The next day we had a 1/2 day tour of Iguana Falls from the Brazilian side and then a tour of the Itiapu Dam between Brazil and Paraguay. This is the 2nd largest dam in the world. The next day we had a tour of the Argentinian side of the Falls and then flew back to Buenos Aires to catch our flight to Ushuaia the next morning. Our trip went like clockwork with great tour leaders and drivers. If you want to plan a trip the Buenos Aires, I would recommend using Ripio Truismo.

Excursion Was Overpriced

My husband and I had been looking forwrd to this excursion for nearly a year, but we felt it was extremely overpriced for what was delivered. The guide at the park was excellent, but we would not recommend booking through Viator or Tango. It would have been much less expensive to purchase the airfare, airport transfers and park entrance fees on our own. We understand the organizers have to get paid for their administrative time, but I would say this bordered on price gouging. Additionally, our experience was marred by bad weather and delayed flights (Obviously this was not under the control of the tour operator), the weather was rainy so we never got to the upper falls or some of the other trails. We did go to Devils Throat. We opted to take the boat ride under the falls and had to pay extra for that - we were quoted $50 each (so $100 total), but when the charge came through on our credit card it totaled $176! We contacted the tour operator (Tango) directly with our concerns and got a very generic “form letter” type response. Viator needs to vet these operators. FYI, I took a very good tour to the Grand Canyon last year that’s why I trusted Viator with this excursion, but It is unlikely that I will book with Viator again and I would definitely not recommend this tour to anyone.

Spectacular vistas

This tour was part of our pre cruise Celebrity package . We were picked up at hotel by bus and guide and taken to falls. We spent the day there seeing spectacular falls and walking trails. We also did the boat excursions which took us under the falls. A must place to visit.

Beware

I do not recommend this tour company. We had a reservation for two that was cancelled the night before departure due to a flight cancellation. This was understandably unfortunate however what was absolutely frustrating was the fact that we were not given a full refund despite the fact that all arrangements including airfare were made by this tour operator.

Réponse de l'opérateur

Dear Pranay Patel, We are really sorry that your flight and tour were canceled. Unfortunately the departure flight was cancelled by the Latam airline, however the return flight was confirmed. As indicated in the terms and conditions of this tour, our company is not responsible for the cancellation policies of the airlines as their penalties are very strict. Although this tour has no refunds our reservation team made a great effort with the airline to obtain a refund. You received a partial refund for the transfers, guide and the one-way flight (the return flight was confirmed). On the other hand, you were not available to change the date of your tour, so in this case we see other alternatives with the airline and the traveler. We understand your dissatisfaction but the airlines have their own cancellation policies and we must adjust to them. We appreciate your comprehension and comments as it helps us improve the quality of our services. Kind regards, Tangol Travel Agency

My private one day tour to the Iguazu Falls

If you are travelling alone, this is a fantastic tour to take! You are picked up at your hotel by a private driver. He makes sure you get to the right flight desk at the airport. Your guide is waiting at the Iguazu airport and stays with you until you are back in the correct line at the airport at the end of the day. My guide Tatyana was wonderful! She was very personable. She has been working in the park for a few years and was very knowledgeable on all things in the park. Not just the falls, but the animals, where the best place to see them was. The best views of the falls and even the vegetation, what were native plant, what were invasive plants. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of both the park and the people of the area. It is quite warm and humid there, so dress accordingly. Everything was absolutely perfect about this tour.
