Le palais est comme une capsule temporelle gelée en 1975. Vous pouvez voir deux des chars originaux utilisés dans la capture du palais garé dans le parc. Le Palais de l'Indépendance était la maison et le lieu de travail du gouverneur français de Cochinchine. Il possède des jardins luxuriants, des pièces secrètes, des meubles anciens et un bunker de commandement. Il est toujours utilisé pour accueillir des événements importants à Ho Chi Minh, y compris les sommets de l'APEC.
A voir absolument à Saigon: Le bâtiment a été conçu par Alfred Foulhoux et présente des fenêtres cintrées et des volets en bois, comme il l'aurait fait à son apogée à la fin du 19e siècle.
A voir absolument à Saïgon: Située sur la place de Paris, le nom de Notre-Dame a été donné après l'installation de la statue «Paisible Notre Dame» en 1959. En 1962, le Vatican confère à la cathédrale le statut de basilique et lui donne le nom officiel de Basilique Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Saïgon.

Un must à Saigon: construit à l'origine comme un hôtel en 1898 par l'architecte français Gardes, il sert maintenant d'hôtel de ville et l'un des monuments les plus emblématiques de la ville.
Vous trouverez cette pagode dans le district 1, l'une des plus anciennes pagodes de Saïgon, à environ dix minutes en voiture du centre-ville.
Le marché Ben Thanh, dans le district 1 de Hô Chi Minh-Ville, est un endroit idéal pour acheter de l'artisanat local, des produits de marque, de l'art vietnamien et d'autres souvenirs. Ici, vous trouverez des stands de restauration à l'intérieur du marché où vous pourrez goûter à la cuisine vietnamienne de style colporteur ou simplement vous rafraîchir avec une boisson fraîche lorsque les négociations deviennent trop difficiles. Le marché est grand, il est parfois difficile de s'y retrouver et il vaut certainement mieux l'éviter pendant la partie la plus chaude de la journée, mais il vaut quand même le détour.
Un incontournable à Saigon : le musée des vestiges de guerre d'Hô Chi Minh-Ville a ouvert ses portes au public en 1975. Autrefois connu sous le nom de « musée des crimes de guerre américains », c'est un rappel choquant de la longue et brutale guerre du Vietnam. Des photographies graphiques et du matériel militaire américain sont exposés. Il y a un hélicoptère avec des lance-roquettes, un char, un avion de chasse, un avion d'attaque monoplace. Vous pouvez également voir une bombe conventionnelle pesant 6 800 kg. Les troupes américaines avaient utilisé ces armes contre les Vietnamiens entre 1945 et 1975.

Ho Chi Minh City was very… Very busy, very temple-y, and the markets were very inner city Asian. Traffic was very crazy, and crossing the street was an Olympic sport. Terry was an excellent guide; accommodating, and took good care of us. If you don’t want to see the War museum, don’t. It will be assumed that you want to see their memorial of the war Vietnam won.
Khoa was a wonderful young man. He found us at the meeting location very quickly. He gave us much insight about Vietnam and the history during our ride from the cruise port into the city. The car was nice (very clean and comfortable). The driver also did a great job. Khoa gave us some choices for stops on our tour. Explained many things about the temples and pagodas and how the people have many options and how they utilize the facilities. We had very interesting discussions about Vietnam history over the centuries and how the people live today.
Whilst two of our party had previously spent time in HCM City, the other two had not so we chose this tour as an introduction to the main sights, it did not disappoint. Our guide, May, and driver, Mr Lam, were great. Our transport was a comfortable air conditioned mini-van with plenty of room for all of us. May was an expert and friendly English speaking guide and she asked us right at the start if there was anything in particular that we wished to do or see. We went with May’s suggestions and she did not disappoint. Excellent value and a lot of fun. Thank you.
Very good communication with our tour guide May. She was on time and spoke very good English. She adjusted our schedule for us to stop and have an egg coffee at her favourite place. We have learned so much from her and she was able to answer our questions. She even had a friendly quiz for us. We had a great day. She took lots of pictures of us. We highly recommend May. Our tourguide Le was great! He is such a funny guy which blends well with our group. Le has a wealth of knowledge about Vietnam history. The second we got in the car, he started sharing about the history which is helpful because it was about 1.5 hours drive from our pickup to our tour place.

We had a fabulous guide May Cam Nhung and driver on a private day tour to Phu My. While the drive to and from the port to downtown Saigon is long, our car was very comfortable. May contacted us a day or two before we arrived and meeting up was a breeze. May expertly guided us through the Central Post Office, Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market. We even had time for a delicious lunch of Pho at a local restaurant. We appreciated the care and highly recommend May!
