Notre première destination pour aujourd'hui est Budva au Monténégro, avant d'y arriver nous ferons un arrêt près de Sveti Stefan, historiquement un village de pêcheurs sur une petite île près de la côte. Cependant, de nos jours, il n'est plus possible de visiter l'île car elle s'est transformée en un complexe résidentiel exclusif. Même en se tenant sur la côte, Sveti Stefan est un spectacle pour les yeux endoloris - vaut une photo.
Nous nous dirigerons vers Budva, une destination touristique populaire, célèbre pour ses plages, sa nature magnifique et ses vieux bâtiments caractéristiques. La ville est séparée entre une partie ancienne et nouvelle. D'une part, dans le Nouveau Budva, il y a de nombreux bâtiments modernes, bureaux, centres commerciaux, restaurants et bars.
Vieux Budva, il y a le centre historique et de nombreux sites à visiter, tels que l'église Saint-Ivan, la petite église Sainte-Marie et les splendeurs médiévales de la vieille ville, que nous visiterons lors de cette visite.
Notre deuxième destination pour aujourd'hui est Kotor, site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. La ville est un dédale de rues étroites et pavées qui sillonnent la vieille ville. L'intention était de confondre les intrus venus piller la ville, alors qu'aujourd'hui cela caractérise la ville. De nombreux anciens bâtiments et églises portent de petites plaques avec leurs dates de construction et leur utilisation d'origine.
Nous visiterons l'église Saint-Luc qui a une grande importance pour les habitants car elle représente l'unité pour eux.

The trip was advertised as an 8 to 10 hour tour. First, the actual time was 15 hours. Second, it wasn't a "tour". We just had a "driver"..
Montenegro's coastline is stunning and the old towns in both stops are incredible. Our driver and guide, Klodian was perfect for this very long day over bumpy roads. He tended to our needs and wants on this trip. He was very informative but not overwhelming us with too much information. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe with him. We enjoyed his company. Understand that this is a very long, and bumpy road trip as they are working on roadways. But if you want a chance to visit another country without the drive, then this is the way to go.
Klondike is an excellent guide who did not overload us with information. All of our needs were met and he checked our comfort often. He catered the trip to our wishes and is an extremely safe driver! Montenegro's coastline is beautiful. The old cities in both stops are unbeatable. Be prepared for a long ride, road construction as they build a new road. But enjoy Klodi's company for the long day.
Such a fabulous day trip from Tirana. Budva and Kotor are stunning. Endri was an excellent driver and guide, and a genuinely lovely person to spend time with. It was really interesting to chat with Endri about life in Albania and his own experiences. Endri also went out of his way to accommodate my requests. Based on my experience, I’d thoroughly recommend Endri as well as Choose Balkans as a company - they responded quickly and arrived promptly. A lovely lady from Choose Balkans came with Endri to welcome me which was a nice extra detail; I’m not sure if that was just because I was a solo female traveller but it was a very kind gesture.
We recently took a private day trip from Albania to Montenegro , and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My boyfriend and I loved every moment of it. A huge part of what made the trip so special was our driver and tour guide, Endri. He was incredibly helpful, informative, and professional, while also being friendly and great fun to spend the day with. He shared so much interesting knowledge about both Albania and Montenegro, which really added depth to the experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, he was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves at all times. We would highly recommend this tour company, and especially Endri as a guide. He truly made the day unforgettable!
