Excursion privée sur l'île de Berlenga Grande depuis Lisbonne

We had an amazing experience with our driver from Lisbon to Peniche for our trip to the Berlengas. From the moment he picked us up, he went above and beyond — constantly checking the weather, keeping us updated, and making sure everything ran smoothly. He even messaged me the day before reminding us to bring sunscreen, which just shows how thoughtful and attentive he was. He truly looked out for all of us as a family and made the whole journey feel easy and stress-free. On the way back, he was just as attentive and professional. As for the Berlengas — absolutely breathtaking. Truly like something out of a dream. I think everyone should visit at least once. The weather we had was beautiful, and although the boat ride from Peniche was a bit rough due to the waves, once we arrived, everything was forgotten. The island is stunning, you can walk around, hike, enjoy the views, and relax. There are a couple of small restaurants, and honestly, some of the best coffee ever! Depending on the tides, they also offer cave tours, but due to rough waters, we weren’t able to go this time. Overall, it was an incredible experience from start to finish — highly recommend both the trip and the driver!

Susana was an awesome guide. The private tour was exactly what we were hoping for! Susana guided us to the best of Berlenga, Obidos, and Penice.

By booking 500€ a private excursion to an island I expected the private excursion to go to the island. However, the private excursion consisted of a transfer by car from the hotel (for me in Péniche) to the ferry departure at the barge port 3km away. From there you join the crowd that will gather on the ferry and you are abandoned 4 hours on an island where there is little to do but wait for your ferry that will come back to pick you up. If I plan to put 100€ the transfer price and 100€ the AR price of the ferry I wonder where the 500€ went... When I contacted the agency they replied that I had misunderstood. Is this excursion or private that I did not understand 🤔 Anyway, this day that was supposed to be the highlight of the holiday was a rotten day and considering the amount spent I could not organize another cruise (we find from 300€) with more serious agencies. I felt fooled and this agency that will perhaps respond on TripAdvisor only answered not the denial by wattsapp.

The island was beautiful. If you get seasick - make sure to take something. There was at least 20 people throwing up due to the rough waters. I wouldn’t miss this one!

Berlenga was amazing! Sights were amazing, and your guides on the boat-island were good. But what made the experience most memorable was our driver Fernando. The amount knowledge that he had was unparalleled. Very personable, professional, and made us felt like family.

Everything about this day was great! Our initial driver Fernando gave great recommendations of restaurants to try, very friendly and gave history of regions we drove through. The actual tour on boat and Berlenga Island was nice too. Friendly and cave tours were great. A little too cold to snorkel today for us but hikes were beautiful! You can even stay on the island in castle! Great food at cafe on the island and worth a trip!

The island tour companies are not well organized and confusing to work with. Keep telling you that you will get more direction at the Island but they just kind of shuffle you around without explanation. Only the drive is the private aspect of the tour. The island is beautiful and the tour companies probably don't really have to compete much for your business.

What a great experience! This was actually my favorite day of our trip. Berlenga was unbelievable and really should not be missed. Our guid/driver picked us up at our hotel, he was on time and was so friendly and accommodating. He was full of great local information and said he was ours for the day. He was not kidding!! It was about an hour drive to catch the ferry to the island, we were given tickets for everything we needed for the island excursion (all taken care of by driver). We spent nearly 4 hours exploring Berlenga which was amazing! After the ferry boat back, our driver was waiting for us, and we had wanted to see a city called Nazare and had asked if we could go, he said absolutely. We jumped into our vehicle and we’re off!! Nazare shouldn’t be missed, incredible story! I am fascinated with this place. This is where our guide shined, he knew exactly where to take us and I will be forever grateful!! We spent nearly 2 hours there which doesn’t sound like a lot but we got to see exactly what we wanted to see! But wait there is more…..After Nazare he said we’re 2 how about Obidos, We said absolutely and we’re off to another magical city! Obidos was spectacular!! We were so glad to have been able to see it as it really should not be missed! After we finished Obidos we were driven back to our hotel, where we thanked our driver for an incredible experience. Although it wasn’t mandatory we tipped our new friend ( I hope it was enough) and concluded the best day of vacation in my entire life!! I also want to add that this was not our only experience with this travel company, the day earlier we had booked another day trip to Sintra and had exactly the same experience. This company understands what we tourist want they deliver excellent service and deliver an unforgettable experience. Thank you again for giving us such an incredible vacation!
