Traversez le canal de Corinthe qui était une tâche de l'antiquité, visitez l'ancienne Corinthe l'une des villes grecques antiques les plus riches, admirez le temple de Zeus à Némée (le seul sur lequel vous pouvez marcher), parcourez la piste de l'une des plus célèbres stades de la Grèce antique et goûtez le divin vin de Némée entouré de vignobles.

Nous continuerons vers l'ancienne Corinthe. La ville dominée par la colline de l'Acrocorinthe.Le site situé au pied de la colline comprend l'Agora romaine de Corinthe, le temple du dieu Apollon et un petit musée. Outre son intérêt archéologique et historique, la Corinthe antique est également l'une des destinations religieuses les plus populaires en Grèce, car c'est là que l'apôtre Paul a prêché le christianisme, a été jugé par le tribunal de l'Agora et a établi l'église chrétienne la mieux organisée de cette période.
Le temple d'Apollon à Corinthe est l'un des premiers temples doriques du Péloponnèse et du continent grec. Construit vers 560 avant notre ère, en calcaire monolithique local au sommet d'une imposante colline rocheuse au nord de l'Acrocorinthe, le temple archaïque était un emblème de la ville grecque de Corinthe, reflétant sa croissance et sa prospérité.
Nous visiterons le château d'Acrocorinthe, le plus ancien et le plus grand château du sud de la Grèce, pour quelques photos étonnantes.
Après la visite du site, nous nous dirigerons vers l’un des établissements vinicoles néméens. En traversant les vignes de la plus grande zone de production viticole de Grèce, nous visiterons l'un des meilleurs vignobles. Les gens se feront un plaisir de vous faire un petit tour en vous montrant les chantiers de vigne, les fûts de stockage, en vous expliquant la procédure à suivre jusqu'à la mise en bouteille. À la fin, il vous sera proposé de goûter certaines de leurs meilleures variétés tout en ayant une vue sur la vallée de la Némée.

Le site archéologique et le musée de Némée vous montrent des choses intéressantes sur les Jeux pan-helléniques de Némée.
Enfin, nous nous dirigerons vers la ville de Nauplie pour notre dernier arrêt, considéré comme la ville la plus pittoresque, elle a fonctionné comme capitale de la Grèce jusqu'en 1834.
Après une promenade dans la vieille ville idyllique, nous nous arrêterons pour le déjeuner dans une taverne traditionnelle au bord de la mer et nous nous dirigerons vers le château d’Acronafplia pour une vue panoramique de Nauplie.
Nauplie vous offre une combinaison exceptionnelle de forteresses et de châteaux (Palamidi), Bourtzi, un immense port ouvert sur la mer Égée et l'architecture unique de la vieille ville de Nauplie révélant des éléments vénitiens, néoclassiques et orientaux.
Nous reprendrons ensuite notre chemin en suivant la côte est de la péninsule du Péloponnèse pour nous rendre à Athènes.
La visite commence par une promenade le long de la côte, en chemin, vous verrez quelques villages balnéaires grecs et l'île de Salamine (où la bataille navale historique a eu lieu entre les Athéniens et les Perses). Notre premier arrêt le canal de Corinthe. Ouvert en 1892, séparant la péninsule du Péloponnèse du reste de la Grèce et reliant le golfe Saronique à la mer de Corinthe. Vous aurez le temps de traverser sur un pont piétonnier pour admirer le canal de plus près.

We were met at our Athens hotel by our very knowledgeable driver, Terry. We had a great, very informative, yet long day with him. We started by driving from a city centre hotel to the Corinth Canal for quick picks and a walk across it. We visited lots of sites, including Ancient Nemea and the Temple of Zeus, which we enjoyed. We would skip to the stadium as few historic objects remain. The trip to the top of the hillside for a short hike to the castle doors was also nice. Time only allowed for about a 30-minute visit, which was just enough to snap a few great photos. Our winery visit did not include a tour of the fields (e.g., vineyards) as their new tasting room location is not convenient. Instead, we received only an inside tour of their barrel room. We have visited many wineries around the world, so it was fine to miss a tour on this visit. The four wine tastings were nice, and they came with nibbles including bread pieces with olive oil, local raisins and chunks of cheese. We had lunch on the coast, which was a bit of a drive. We suggest offering additional food selections at the winery in the future, perhaps paired with a glass of wine. Their wine was very tasty. We would recommend the tour to anyone interested in a full-day historic tour.

Manos was the best guide for Athens and the Namea/Corinth region. He allowed me to customize my itinerary and offered many helpful suggestions how to use the time. He also helped me avoid the crowd so I could get very close shots of the guard change ceremony. Go with Manos it won’t be wrong.

Wonderful experience! From the time we were picked up, Elias took very good care of us! He was amazing— tweaked our trip according to our interests, and anticipated our needs! He was also very knowledgeable of Greek history and the sites we visited! The winery tour-tasting was a highlight of the day. They were nestled in the green vineyards and surrounded by mountains. They also used ancient clay jar aging process. This was the best Cabernet we have EVER tasted. Elias provided an unforgettable experience for us!

A “lovely” day with a nice driver outside of Athens. However, reading description & brief emails with travel company prior to booking….not as expected & too much “on your own” time. Travel out of Athens is calm, driver did share general info about region. But this is more of a day with a nice driver & limited/no guiding . Canal stop & historical sites are reading signage & not real discussions. Apollo Temple & Museum on your own is interesting, but you need to prepare in advance to get the depth & significance. (I turned down visiting another archaeological site) Wine country visit is one winery, although good, included a brief tour and several tastes. Asking to stop to potentially find other wine or olive oil stops, potential “up charges” and not possible. I would call this more of a drive & not a tour.
The tour was very informative and interesting. We had a great day learning about Ancient Corinth and the wine region with Christos. I would definitely use Olive Sea again for another tour.

The wine tasting tour was one of the most unique trips that I had. I am glad that it was part of the tour and Alexander, our tour guide, made sure that he I had a good time. Along the way, he talks about greek mythology and I learned so much about him. He is the best tour guide and the company must be very lucky to have him because he does his job very well. He answered all my questions to the best of his knowledge. The location is roughly a 2 hour trip from the city of Athens and the route to Nemea and Napflion was very picturesque. Alexander made sure I get the best spot to take pictures and he even offer to take my photos. It’s a nice part of the town and you will enjoy the view and the activity. Nemea has nice wines that everyone must try. I recommend to tourist like me to also include this into your itinerary.
