Our driver and guide were excellent. We had a fantastic day. My only concern was that the contact number in the booking was not the right number and left me uneasy that the booking would not happen.
What a great day trip from Singapore! Andy, my guide, is a superstar. His logistics/arrangements were impeccable--ranging from an on-time pick-up for the cross-border car which took me thru immigration, to great insights about the Dutch/Portuguese/English influences on this UNESCO site in Malaysia. In addition to cultural stops, Andy also found places for incredible coffee and he introduced me to cendol--a coconut dessert that looked like a colored snowball. Delish! Malacca is great for solo travelers interested in history to families who may want to catch a ride in a Labubu pedal cart. Andy will make this trip memorable. Definitely go!
Excellent visit. The guide was very helpful sharing a lot of information. We visited all the involvement and still had the right to real local experiences. This private driver failed everything. Excessive speed, did not provide support and warned that we would have to re-fill the entry visa in Singapore.
Wonderful day trip to Malacca from Singapore. We felt privileged to have Mr Chan as our tour guide and Mr Wan as our driver. They did a wonderful tour and was informative and well as interesting.
We had an awesome day. WAN, the driver did a good job of getting us from Singapore to malacca Malaysia. Traffic was very heavy coming back but it was worth the drive there. Eddie was our tour guide and he gave us great history of the area. Both of them did an excellent job!!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and amiable. The tour helped us put Singapore's and Malaysia's history in context.
The trip started out a bit rocky as there was some confusion with our pick up point. We were able to connect with our driver and once on our way our experience was pleasant and interesting. Our driver did not speak much English however his driving skills were excellent. We were expecting this based on other reviews and did not expect anything more. He provided 2 stops along the way and on the way back. We met our guide in Malacca. He spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed the tour of the historic district very much. Lunch was a bit strange. We were the only people in what seemed to be some kind of banquet hall meant for big groups. The staff was pleasant and the food was find. I would have really enjoyed lunch on the water at a cafe in the historic district. We would have been glad to have paid for our lunch, had we been given the opportunity. If we were ever to return we would spend the night and enjoy the Malacca City lights and the Jonker Street night market.
The driver felt in sleep whilst driving, my sister and me avoided a crash with another car. The guide in Malacca was unacceptable dominant, forced us to eat in a „Halal“ restaurant without any information, his English was poor, he denied to change the driver regardless a quasi crash. But all in all : Malacca is a beautiful destination and worth every efforts.
Not a great experience, terribly over priced. Driver was late, showed up in a very old car, and was constantly on his phone while driving. He also did not have any clue what the daytour was about, he just wanted to drop me off. Arranged for a guide to meet me in Melaka, the guide was ok. Only did a walking tour of downtown Melaka and a river cruise and that was it (all musea were closed). Was picked up again and driven back in the same car with the same driver with the same bad driving habits. Paid $625 for a very forgettable day
We went there on a weekday, there was not much traffic. It was a drive-through service through the SIngapore - Malaysia border. Unfortunately, we encountered heavy rain during the Malacca River cruise. The guide at Malacca was very professional and he adjusted the tour accordingly. He gave special attention and care to small kids. Overall we are happy with the tour.
