Excursion privée d'une journée à Louxor depuis Hurghada et la Vallée des Rois

We both had a fantastic private trip to Luxor and enjoyed the whole experience. Our driver picked us up safely from our hotel in Hurghada and took us to Luxor. This was especially appreciated considering it was such a long journey and an early start. Our guide and Egyptologist Ahmed Elsisi was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. He also made sure we engaged about Egyptian history and the places we visited on our trip. He was also friendly, informative and happy to answer any other questions we had. Our trip also included a meal at a local restaurant with authentic Egyptian food which was very tasty. Finally we took a short boat journey down the River Nile which was a great way to end the day and relax on the boat. Shout out to Omar Sharrif, whose boat we went on, he was very friendly and let us have a go at driving the boat. Overall, a really enjoyable and well-organised trip. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Luxor and its amazing history.

**Unforgettable ride from Hurghada to Luxor – Ahmed is the real Transporter!** We had the pleasure of travelling with Ahmed from Hurghada to Luxor and Valley of Kings and back, and the whole experience was excellent from beginning to end. Ahmed is not only a very good and safe driver, but also a kind, respectful and honest person. During the journey, we felt completely comfortable, well taken care of, and truly listened to. He was always attentive, calm and professional. What made the experience even more special was that, by the end of the trip, Ahmed felt more like a friend than just our driver. He even invited us to his family home, where we had the chance to meet his family and children. This was not planned at all, but it became one of the most beautiful and heartfelt moments of our journey, a real local experience, full of warmth and kindness. Instead of just spending time in a hotel or sleeping in the car, we were welcomed into real Egyptian family life. That is something we will never forget. Thank you, Ahmed, for your wonderful service, your honesty and your big heart. When we come back to Egypt, we will definitely contact you again without hesitation. Ahmed — the real Transporter! :)

An excellent day out. We were collected from our hotel at 4:30am by our lovely driver, Ahmed. A 4hr journey through the desert seemed to pass quickly in the air conditioned comfort of Ahmeds car. He drove excellently through the chaos of Egypts roads. Sometimes you overtake on the left, sometimes on the right and sometimes by barreling through the middle. Its completely baffling and I am glad I wasn't driving! We collected Professor Ahmed on the West Bank of Luxor and proceeded to the valley of the kings. Professor Ahmed was so informative and amusing and we both learned a lot, even though we are both familiar with this part of history. Prof Ahmed explained about each tomb we visited in detail. We paid extra to visit King Tut and Ramses and it was worth it. Once we had spent our time in the valley we were taken to an Alabaster workshop where manager Ahmed explained the traditional processes still used after all these years. We then visited the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut. This was a bucket list for me and it was the highlight of my day. We then made a brief stop at the colossi of Memnon and then it was off for lunch. It seemed to be a traditional Egyptian cafe and the food was good. The boat ride along the nile was cool and the owner did let me pilot it for a while which was great. It was not a traditional Feluca but it was a great experience nonetheless. The last stop was at Karnac temple and this was also fantastic. Having seen so many documentaries and then actually walking round, seeing it with your own eyes is priceless. Again, Professor Ahmed explained all to us before we entered. Be careful of the walk back through the market place as you exit Karnac as the shopkeepers here were particularly aggressive in their hounding for trade. We grabbed a quick drink and were ripped off for 10€ for 2 cans of iced tea but they need the money more than I do I guess. We then headed back to drop off Professor Ahmed and were then safely driven back to our Hotel. We arrived back in Hurghada at around 6pm. A long day but worth every penny and every minute. Went to Luxor for our one-day day trip experience from Marsa Alam and it was really great. The driver was punctual and our guide, Maddalena, was the best, really gentle, prepared and she gave us lots of really good advices. We loved the adventure, the tombs, the temple and how she explained to us the history behind it. I really recommend this tous (it is a bit far from Marsa Alam, but totally worth it).

​Unforgettable day in Luxor – Absolutely recommended! ​We had a fantastic excursion to Luxor today with our Egyptologist Mark. He was absolutely punctual and organized everything perfectly in advance – even the tickets were already ready, so we had no waiting times at all. ​We visited the most beautiful sights of Luxor. Mark possesses vast knowledge and managed to bring history to life before our eyes. You can feel in every moment that he does this job with true passion and his whole heart. ​The choice of restaurant was also excellent. His practical tips and his protection from the pushy vendors were very valuable, so we could enjoy the day in a relaxed manner. He showed us Egypt from many different sides – a special highlight was the excursion to Banana Island. ​Thanks to Mark, we experienced an extraordinary day and touched the treasures of world culture up close. A lovely day, educational and a wonderful experience! Professor Ahmed Elsisi, a true expert on ancient Egypt, kept us captivated as he entertainingly guided us (in very good English) through all the ancient sites we visited. Meanwhile, Ahmed the driver waited for us in the air-conditioned car to take us to the next attraction, simply excellent! Every aspect, the sights, the drives, the lunch, and the Nile cruise, was very well organized. All over a great day in ancient Egypt, thnx Ahmed and Ahmed!

Mark, our guide and Egyptologist, gave us as a couple a wonderful and unforgettable day in Luxor. He fulfilled all our wishes and even took videos and pictures of us. We are family with a little boy of 4. Being flexible and comfortable in Egyptian heat was one of our priorities. Our guide Samira did a great job making sure to explain us the history of the sites we were visiting, with a lot of passion. (I was worried it would be boring to our kid but it was the opposite). She was also very flexible with the schedule adjusting it to ours and our kid's needs. Would recommend this tour anytime!

Sherry was friendly and entertaining. She was knowledgeable and clear. The car was spacious and drivers drove safely. We had a great time.

Wow! Where do we start?! After thinking (and talking!!) a lot about which trip would meet our requirements, we settled on the Small Group Private tour. From the moment of booking, even pre trip, communication with the travel company was spot on, with specific details and times of pick up. Carlos, our driver, was spot on, collecting us on time and taking us to the meeting point with other groups of tourists, all with high levels of excitement of the day ahead. Moving West as the sun rose, towards Luxor, we were treated to an amazing sunrise with spectacular colours bouncing off the desert mountains 🏔️ . We got to Luxor bang on time and were greated by the wonderful Mark, who’s first words to us were to welcome us to his family. We were more than VIPs, more than his guests and it came across that way! He explained the programme which he had created for our day which had obviously taken a lot of thought, time and consideration. Starting at the Karnak Temple, he shared his vast knowledge, experiences, opinions, sense of humour as he guided us through. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and also advice on how to manage the ‘sales men’ on the way out. Following the temple visit we headed for The Nile, in blistering heat but with a refreshing ice cream in hand, provided by Mark. We had the option of detouring for a brief visit up to Banana Island, at a small additional cost, and we are so glad we did! It was filled with local experiences, with the group welcoming us into their home, treating us to a demonstration of their skills and an opportunity (not forced) to purchase some local produce! After this, we headed back downstream to our lunch stop. Again, with so much thought and planning, we were treated to local cuisine, tastes, spices and dishes. En route to the Valleys, we stopped in a local store for a demonstration on local skills and papyrus making! This was such a unique opportunity for us and to be able to purchase our own unique gift was such a privilege and reflection on our visit to Luxor and the Nile. With spirits higher that the temperature (a cool 41 degrees) we headed to the Valley of the Kings. Again, using his experience and knowledge, Mark was able to navigate his way and lead us through the crowds who had headed in the opposite direction. We went to three tombs and also took the option to pay to see the legendary tomb of King Tutankhamen - certainly brought some tears to the eye and what an awesome experience. We headed back to Carlos, who was once again on hand, with air conditioning very welcome indeed, and to our second visit of local skills, using the land’s resources to make statues, ornaments and plaques. We were really pleased that there was no pressure on us to buy anything, a welcome change from previous trips, and again, we were able to purchase our own unique piece of art. Our trip ended appropriately at The Valley of The Queens and we took every opportunity to use Mark’s knowledge and guidance to visit every area of the mountainside! Such a wonderful day, and we are so grateful to Mark for his time, sharing his passion and deep knowledge with us, welcoming us into his Luxor and making it ours for the day! Also grateful to Carlos who filled the four hour journey to and from Luxor with calmness and precision driving, even timing the journey home spot on so we were able to experience the sunset over the mountains we had seen 12 hours earlier! A perfect photo to end a perfect day!
