Description

Kembo from Itchy Feet Tours was an outstanding guide very friendly attentive and informative nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this tour and the other tours on his website had we known we would have booked his services from our airport pickup to departure.
Kembo was a star and our tour was perfect.
Our 4 days in Cape Town were the highlight of our short stay in South Africa this January. Kembo had organised each days schedule meticulously with perfect timing and we saw so much without ever feeling rushed. His lunch recommendations were superb and he was extremely charming, personable and above all, his local and international historical knowledge added hugely to our enjoyment of his tours.
The tour was great and Kembo was amazing. He made sure to cater to all of our needs and was super attentive and gentle. Would totally recommend!
This was an amazing experience! Kembo was super nice and attentive, catering to all of our needs! He explained every place we visited, and some overall facts and history of the country, and answered pretty much all of our questions! There was no pressure with time and we got to do everything we wanted! Would totally recommend!
Our guide, Seifu, from Itchy Feets Tours and Safaris, was in charge of showing us the best of the Cape Peninsula. He was great and honestly, this is the only way to do it or you’ll spend your day in traffic, trying to find parking and standing in lines. Not to mention, you have a personal photographer taking group pictures so no one is excluded. We started off driving through the neighborhoods of Seapoint, Camps Bay, and Haut Bay, stopping for a picture at Maiden’s Cove. We then weaved our way through Chapman’s Peak, stopping to see Rhino Mountain, Noordhoeck Beach and had a quick coffee break in Noordhoeck Village. Our next destination was Cape of Good Hope. Unfortunately, when we arrived the fog had rolled in, so it wasn’t the best for photo ops. Darn you Mother Nature. Regardless, we got in our steps as we made it to the top of the Cape Point lighthouse. Then it was off to see the African penguins at Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town. Seifu had VIP access for us so we completely skipped the very long line. Seeing the penguins swimming and waddling on the beach is just too cute. It was packed with tourists so we didn’t stay long. Not to mention, we had built up an appetite so it was time to eat. We had a delicious lunch at Harbour House in Kalk Bay. My prawns in lemon and herb butter cream sauce with charred ciabatta were outstanding🦐 Our last stop was Bo-Kaap. It is a vibrant, historic neighborhood in Cape Town, South Africa, famous for its brightly colored houses, cobblestones streets, and rich Cape Malay culture. It was a quick walk through as the streets were getting ready to close for the New Year’s Eve celebration. I highly recommend Itchy Feet’s Tours and Safari.
So fabulous! You Must have Kembo be your guide to a spectacular day tour of the South African Cape Peninsula and Penguins! Best and brightest was having the best tour operator around who accomodated us and ensured an epic day! We saw gorgeous scenery, experienced the sites around the Cape and saw the penguins, penguins and more penguins at Boulders Beach! This tour gave us the most time with the penguins of any that I researched and also had important features like having all the entrance fees to parks and areas included. By doing this as a private tour we were relaxed, could adjust our time at different locations, the restaurant choice for lunch was wonderful. This is the best company and tour operator for not only this tour, but we are already looking at other areas in and around South Africa where we could have Kembo guide us!
We loved this tour and Kembo is absolutely the Best! I would book an adventure to many different places as long as Kembo was our tour operator! After comparing other tours of the area we chose Kembo with Itchy Feet for several reasons: the Key reason was that the reviews were fantastic and this particular tour gave us the most time with our Must Experience - the Boulder Penguins! I noticed other details that appealed such as all entrance fees were included so we didn't have to get nickel and dimed to death paying park entrance fees. Kembo did not disappoint, he was simply superb! We Highly recommend him to anyone wanting a unique, thorough and uplifting experience in any of the many areas shown on his website. He doesn't just show the Cape Town area, there are many areas in and around South Africa that he can show you and ensure the best experience possible. By the way, while his cost may look like it's a bit more, trust us, it's VERY worth it! :)
Itchy Feet came highly recommended to us, and they exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Talent, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we had a good experience. We would definitely use them (and Talent) again.
My husband and I have traveled to many countries around the world his was one of the best one day tours that we have ever taken! Kembo Sithole was personable, knowledgeable and was able to explain in detail what we were seeing.
