Prise en charge au hall de votre hôtel et transfert à Angkor Thom. Vous entrerez dans la ville antique par sa porte sud. Au centre même se trouve le temple du Bayon, témoins silencieux du temps, les 216 visages énigmatiques regardent l'horizon et on ne peut que se demander ce qu'ils ont vu à travers les âges. Votre guide vous indiquera les meilleurs angles de photographie ici et vous expliquera les nombreuses sculptures complexes sur les murs des galeries. Vous continuerez ensuite vers Baphuon avec sa longue chaussée et son impressionnant Bouddha couché géant, un puzzle reconstitué seulement en 2011 après 37 ans de perturbations causées par la guerre. Phimeanakas se cache dans la jungle ombragée et offre une vue décente sur la cime des arbres à ceux qui franchissent les marches raides menant au sommet. En continuant le long de l'Esplanade du Palais Royal plus communément connue sous le nom de Terrasse des Éléphants, vous terminerez votre exploration dans la zone ombragée du pittoresque Preah Palilay.
Notre prochain arrêt, Ta Prohm, a acquis sa renommée du 21e siècle grâce au film Tomb Raider mettant en vedette Angelina Jolie dans le rôle de Lara Croft. Visitez Angkor Wat, d'abord hindou, puis bouddhiste, complexe de temples au Cambodge et le plus grand monument religieux du monde. Le temple a été construit par le roi khmer Suryavarman II au début du XIIe siècle à Yasodharapura (aujourd'hui Angkor), la capitale de l'empire khmer, comme temple d'État et éventuel mausolée. Rompant avec la tradition shivaïsme des rois précédents, Angkor Wat était plutôt dédié à Vishnu. En tant que temple le mieux conservé du site, c'est le seul à être resté un centre religieux important depuis sa fondation. Le temple est au sommet du style classique de l’architecture khmère. Such a fantastic experience with Chansip. We are a group of 3 friends who came to Siem Reap for only the weekend. Chansip showed us around the temples on the Saturday, explaining the history with great enthusiasm. His professionalism and kindness was appreciated, and the temples were just so amazing! He catered to us (our timings) which we really appreciate. The driver was also very kind, always ready with cold water and cold towels after each temple. Our tour guide Chansip picked us up on time at the hotel with driver. On the way to the ticket office of Ankor Wat, he explained the different ticket purchase options (day ticket, 3 day pass and 1 week). We were provided with fresh cold drinks by the driver during the day tour. Chansip has a great knowledge of the culture, language, history and temple complex of Ankor Wat. He pointed out a lot to us, gave good tips and suggestions for further excursions. He is also a great photographer. Our day-long tour of the Angkor temples with Chansip was one of the best experiences of our Cambodia trip. We enjoyed our tour with Chansip! We went with 2 kids and 3 adults. He had so much great information and really enhanced our time at the temples. We had been told a guide wasn’t needed but we found that having a guide helped us understand the temples better and show us some neat facts. It was also nice to be able to ask questions about life in Cambodia. An added bonus - having a photographer that could take good photos of our group! Silong was an amazing guide and driver! Originally brought us from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap with stops along the way. Helped us out with the local language barrier and was fun to tour with. Showed us some amazing local spots outside of the stops we requested. Enjoyed him so much we asked for a tour the next day of the temples which he said yes. The second day was much better with him there. He is very knowledgeable of Cambodian history explaining everything to us along the way.
