The tour operator called me 30 minutes before our meeting ( when I was 3 minutes away) and told me that due to the weather, He advised us to cancell . He then told viator that we never showed up.
Alex our private tour uber picked us up at the cruise port to start our journey. Alex was very personable and we talked about the history of Greece and the local culture on our way to the caves. WOW the caves were amazing. After about 1hr at the caves we were thirsty and decided to head to a 3rd generation family winery where we sipped the families organic produced wine. (BTW were amazing) After a little buzz set in we left for lunch and drove to a beautiful local beach front family restaurant where we had a delicious seafood selection meal to remember. Our bellies were full of happiness. Since we were at a beach restaurant we threw our towels down and enjoyed a little time soaking up the sun and enjoyed the beautiful clear waters of the Aegean Sea. We had so much fun and Alex picked all the spots. Thanks Again Alex🙏
The tour was one big problem: 1. We had booked the tour because we wanted to see the famous Petralona Cave on May 1, 2025. When we got to the cave we found out, that the cave was closed due to Labour day. It is unbelievable and very disappointing that you offer a tour on May 1, 2025, and the tourguide does not check wether the site is open. The guide offered to take us to another archeological site, but when we arrived there, it was also closed. 2. The winery was open but not very impressing. 3. As compensation the driver offerd us a transport to the airport on the next day. 4. Your payment system is a hassle, as we found out with our Pella and Olympus Tours. This time, we had to cancel and rebook the whole thing in order to make sure you would not kick us off the tour, because you could not handle the payment. 5. To make things worse you raised the tourprice for rebooking from EUR 440,-- to EUR 480,-- !!! Could you please refund the EUR 40,-- to my Credit Card, since the raise was totally unwarranted and unfair.
We’re genuinely disappointed by this review, especially since we did our best to deliver the tour exactly as described. The only issue arose with the cave visit, which was unfortunately closed without prior notice. This was not our responsibility, as even the official website indicated it would be open that day. Despite this unforeseen situation, we completed about two-thirds of the planned tour, and to make up for the inconvenience, we offered two complimentary transfers from your hotel to the airport the following day—each valued at 35–40 euros, totaling around 80 euros. We always aim to provide a high level of service and ensure our guests leave with great memories. While we respect everyone’s right to share their opinion, we also believe in fairness. This review does not reflect the reality of the experience or the effort we made to make things right.
Our private driver was really nice. He took us to places which were hidden gems. We saw caves, beaches and wine tasting. He also recommended a great restaurant for dinner.
Unfortunately our trip on New Year's Day was cancelled in the last minute. I received a message while I was asleep at 3am on the same day of the tour. Apart from missing seeing the cave and wine tasting, which I was really looking forward to, it also meant we were not given enough time to make alternative plans for the day. I am aware that many are closed on new years day, but we should have never been able to book a tour which was not available on the day!!! Very disappointed.

The tour agency went out of their way to make this tour happen. Although their scheduled van had malfunctioned in the morning, they provided us with a private car so that we do our tour. The driver/guide was the sweetest lady who provided us with information everytime we had a query. All locations that we were taken to were amazing and we were given ample time to explore and have a good time. Definitely recommend.
