Do not use this your company if you want a private guide that is able to speak English and is actually a licensed guide. The “guide” (Lui, I believe was his name) did not once show his guide credentials (which makes we query whether he is actually a licensed guide), which would not bother us if he could actually provide information about what we were seeing. He failed to mention the basics (we got commentary from overhearing other guides) and could hardly communicate in English. He was a nice guy but he skipped sections of the itinerary because we allegedly didn’t have enough time but somehow we were done in 6 hours when we paid for a 10 hour tour. The guide kept complaining about how everything is so crowded - it was very annoying because it is what it is and as a guide should focus on showcasing Kyoto not complaining about something that you cannot control. The guide was only good for taking pictures and paying $300 for that was absurd. We should have just gone with the driver only option and saved the guide fees.
Dear client, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your recent ride , we checked with our driver seriously, For this order, we arranged an experienced tour guide to accompany the guests. our driver also bought water for the guest free of charge. Our driver picked up the guests from the hotel. The guests wanted to visit Kiyomizu-dera, Hanamikoji Street, Nishiki Market, and Kinkaku-ji. Our driver took them to all these places. Finally, with some time left, he also took the guests to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove before returning them to the hotel. The journey started around 9:00 and ended at 6:17 pm, You spent over nine hours sightseeing that day, instead of six, We understand that the service fell short of your expectations, and for that, we extend our sincerest apologies. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we assure you that we will take this opportunity to enhance our service quality. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope to serve you better in the future.
We had a great experience on our day trip to Kyoto. There were five people in our party, including my 70+ year old mother in law, and two kids 8 and 5). The pace was good, and we were able to see a lot in a short period of time.
Guide sent to us struggled to explain in English and had no knowledge of many history of places in Kyoto she used to google and struggled to explain Tour operators should have taken care to send good guide it was disappointing
Dear Guest, I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience you experienced on April 18th. We visited Nijo Castle, Kiyomizu Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and the Bamboo Grove that day. I did occasionally check my phone while explaining these places of interest, especially the Nijo Castle. I did this to ensure the accuracy of the information, as I believe accurate historical information is essential to your experience. However, I understand that this may have affected your overall experience. I am deeply sorry for this. Thank you very much for your constructive feedback, which will motivate me to further improve my expertise in explaining these magnificent historical sites so that I can provide you with a better experience in the future. Sincerely,
Excellent care and enthusiasm throughout the tour, even with the language differences. Our tour guide took the time to get a lunch reservation and allow us to change the itinerary to do more shopping and site seeing at a temple. We appreciated the care and hospitality.
We had a busy day traveling from Osaka cruise port to Kyoto and return. We visited Kiyomizu-dera, had lunch, Golden temple, then Fushimi Inari Shrine. Yan kept our group of seven during the crowds and Wan was the driver
Kyoto has been one of our must to visit in Japan and it’s proven that it’s really a beautiful place to visit! Unfortunately, our tour guide was not nice. We dont think it was worth what we paid! My friends were not happy at all with our guide’s attitude.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your recent ride. For your 10-hour Private Custom Tour to Kyoto, we checked this booking seriously, firstly, the option you chose is driver only, no guide. it may be some misunderstandings since you said you were not satisfied with the guide's attitude, if you mean the driver's attitude, we also checked with our driver, he informed that the whole trip went smoothly, excepet only thing is that on the pedestrian walkway of Kiyomizu Temple, the driver's car was parked 200 meters away, and it takes about 3 minutes to walk. Because there is a large flow of people and the one-way road is narrow, the driver asks you to walk over. If you were unhappy about this, we apologized again. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we assure you that we will take this opportunity to enhance our service quality. Thank you
Our driver was excellent! Though surprised she spoke Japanese and not English, I happened to be traveling with 3 Japanese friends - one a guide herself. So between her and our driver, who was very flexible and helpful, our tour was totally based on where we wanted to go and how short or long we stayed at each site.
This was an amazing tour. Lei was an excellent tour guide showing us the different temples and explaining the history and culture. She was personable and attentive to our needs. She asked where we wanted to go if different than the itinerary. She wanted this to be our tour. Gao was our driver and he was excellent. This was our first time using Viator and we will continue to use them for traveling. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Lei and Gao!
The experience was fantastic! Driver is knowledgeable and my family enjoyed it very much! Will come again soon!
