Excursion privée d'une journée à Dahshour et Meidum

From start to finish, it was an excellent tour. I wanted to visit the lesser known pyramids of Meidoum and Dahshur. I was in Cairo during the Eid holiday, when many businesses were closed and I was concerned that it might be a problem to book a tour. I found a telephone number for Kemet Travel and spoke with them directly. They told me it would be no problem, and to send a WhatsApp message once I decided on my date. Communication via WhatsApp was easy and efficient. All of my questions were answered immediately. Within an hour, my private tour was arranged. On the day of the tour, the driver and guide were at my accommodation a few minutes early. Again, the guide and I had exchanged WhatsApp numbers, which made communication seamless. The private vehicle was very clean and comfortable, and Radwan drove carefully. My guide, Andrew, was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the sites, taking me through the history of the development of pyramid building from a step design to the first true pyramid. Both Andrew and Radwan were patient and never tried to rush me. Andrew walked me completely around every pyramid, showed me the mortuary temples, and then let me explore further on my own to my heart’s content. I entered all three pyramids and climbed to the burial chambers, and even crawled through a mastaba tomb in Meidoum on my hands and knees (not for the claustrophobic!). I saw and did more on my tour than I had ever anticipated. To finish the day, we had a late lunch in Giza on the way back. I was not expecting to eat much, but the food was very good. I especially enjoyed the stuffed vegetables and the tahina, and went back three times to the buffet. Grilled meats were brought to the table, and the kofta was especially good. Radwan and Andrew dropped me back at my accommodation at the end of a full day. Actually, it had been a perfect day for what I wanted to see and do.

Excellent tour with a knowledgeable guide and competent driver. Andrew kept us engaged with the background and history of the places we visited, facilitated access, and kept everything running smoothly. A highly recommended tour!

Exellent experience through the day Mustafa and Ahmed were exellent mustafa's knowledge of everything was great and he takes a great picture! Ahmed navigated the rough roads perfectly, would definitely reccomend!

My husband and I joined the event together. It's a bit expensive, but it includes all the tickets and meals. Above all, it's rare to get a tour with a combination of Meidoom and Dahshur. The guides and drivers also explained the history and genesis of the event attentively, allowing us ample time to observe each point. I'm really enjoying it.

I've been on 2 day trips from Cairo with Kemet. The manager, Montasser, does a good job organizing the driver and tour. The drivers are knowledgable, and can help you at sites like Meidum or Saqqara. Rates are affordable compared to other places. I would rather go with Kemet, than a hostel or hotel. Payment for me was easily done, with cash US and Egyptian.

I immensly enjoyed my trip to see the pyramids in Meidum and Dashur. My guide, Andrew Samir was very knowlegable about Egyptian history and culture in general and about these pyramids and the kings of the 4th dynasty in particular. I learned a great deal from him, even though I had been in Egypt before several times and as a historian myself, I prepare for trips to historical sights. Thank you, Andrew. Thank you Ahmed Haron for driving us safely through the Egyptian traffic and its particular challenges. A great day to remember, and I highly recommend this trip! The crawl into the mastaba in Meidum was especially challenging, but very rewarding.

I liked it! We could see both sites and spent as much time as I needed there. Driving through the palm groves was an added bonus!

<p>i had a good experience seeing the pyramids of dahshour and meidum not much to see except for the two pyramids themselves. my guide was well informed and professional. the trip itself was okay sort of long but i had nothing else to do. the lunch in giza was quite good the restaurant was right across the street from the giza pyramids. my goal when i came to egypt was to see all the pyramids from the Great to the Bent and i accomplished that objective.</p>
