We had a fantastic experience on this tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Cairo. Our guide, Aladdin, and our driver, Mohamed, made the entire day smooth, enjoyable, and very well organised from start to finish. Aladdin was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Egyptian history and explained everything in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great day and got the most out of the experience. He also turned out to be a brilliant photographer, helping us capture some great photos — and even a few hilarious ones — which made the experience even more memorable. The tour itself was very well structured. One thing we particularly appreciated was how the itinerary was organised to avoid the worst of the crowds, which made a huge difference when visiting iconic places like the Giza pyramids and Saqqara. Having a private guide also meant we could move at a comfortable pace and ask plenty of questions. Overall, a fantastic tour with a great team — highly recommended if you want to explore these incredible sites in a relaxed and well-organised way.
Fantastic experience at the pyramids with Omar! He was very thorough in explanations and patient with all our requests!
We booked Giza pyramids, Memphis and Saqqara but they told tour guide to go to Memphis, saqqara Dahshur, and carpet school for expensive shopping (not in our itinerary). Beginning our lunch, we asked when to go to Giza pyramids. Then we found out they arranged the wrong tour. They offered two options to us. 1- we can book the pyramids tour again and they will give you special price + a free tour about happened like 1 hour felucca ride or 1 hour quad bike in the desert after you finish the pyramids 2- our hotel is near from the grand egyptian Museum. We can book a tour with us to the grand egyptian museum and make 20 % discount for us. Told them both options didn’t fit our need and Giza pyramid and Grand Egyptian museum, also their prices for those options were not good at all to us. Then they didn’t consider our needs and made an offer, and their attitude was “Take it or
Experience with bad feelings. We hired the Pyramids of Giza, Sakkara and Memphis tour. The driver was on time perfectly and everything started well. We then pick up the guide and we already change the one we had contracted (small group tour by a private one). We accept, it's okay, but it's still a decision that they change you without warning and without going back. In the following comment he tells us that we do not have lunch included, that this is paid separately. Nothing further from reality, as we did have it included. I have to show you proof of reservation and so on. Still, he insists that according to the company it is not included. I have to insist and get absolutely serious not to accept that condition. I get it at that moment when "you'll tell me something throughout the morning"... The first stop is the pyramids of Giza. I don't have it timed but the total time from the entrance to the exit was about 2 hours very fair and scarce. The guide is not that we hurried but it was all very fast and with little attention. Few photos and almost on the run. UNFORGIVABLE that he did not take us to see the Sphinx, he lied to our face saying that we had to pay a separate ticket and that it was very expensive and that we could not get closer. Totally false, the part where the Sphinx is included in the general entry. This character didn't want to walk anymore and he let us go of that lie. We had to see her in 5 min and far away. Nor did he take us to the viewpoint where the pyramids are lined up. This is REGRETTABLE because this viewer is the one who justifies a trip to Egypt and this is an opportunity that I may not have the rest of my life again. So much rush to get out of the pyramids enclosure because, then, we stop at a perfume shop (which was not featured in the program). But of course, they're his friends, they get their tips and stuff. And that you always see yourself in the commitment to buy something. Transfer to Sakkara: the guide sleeping in the car, without explaining anything, answering just enough. In general, he provided nothing in his explanations but to give dates.... On the other hand also criticizing nonstop people of other nationalities and ALWAYS referring to money and tips. This was all he cared about. And already put, he threw the whole tour smoking like a roadman (admittedly he asked permission but he didn't stop). On the next trip to Memphis, he also stopped at a carpet factory (he wasn't in the program either). At the last minute, near lunchtime he tells us that yes, lunch is included. In short, this is a once-in-a-lifetime tour and it was supposed to be an unforgettable experience and it wasn’t. I DON’T FORGIVE HIM LYING TO OUR FACES (not approaching the sphinx has no forgiveness). The guide called himself "Ache". After all, he got a good tip.
We are a family of 4 (my children are 9 and 12) and yesterday we did this tour led by Adel. The guy is prepared and speaks good Italian, gave us time to take pictures when we wanted without rushing. At the end of the tour we were understandably tired: around lunchtime the sun was really strong. Recommended tour. I would avoid bringing small children.
We recently booked a group tour for the day with Emo tours Egypt, And we were happy with the overall experience. Our guide, Amr, was very knowledgeable; on time to start the tour, and it was easy to communicate with him, the prices were quite reasonable as well. Also, the driver was very good on the roads, and we felt safe during our travels. While the tour was excellent, I do have suggestions on areas where there can be improvements made to have a more satisfying experience: 1.) On the drive to the “sites” we were briefed in the vehicle about the history of the place & passed on a phone depicting some images. As a suggestion maybe you could have a big tablet or some central screen in the vehicle, so we don’t have to pass a phone along from passenger to passenger. 2.) Apart from the main tourist places on the itinerary, there were some side “stops” along the way for shopping souvenir(s). There should be a time limit for waiting at each of these souvenir shops, so that there is enough time left to visit “main” tourist sites as per the itinerary, most of which have a closing time of around 16:00hrs so managing time is important so that we don't feel rushed. That being said, the group we had was fantastic and we had an amazing time. So I’d be more than happy to recommend Emo tours Egypt services to anyone planning a Cairo, Egypt day trip. I can’t wait to go back again and explore the other cities in Egypt with them. Cheers until we meet again!!
We took a guided tour with Mohammad. He was excellent. Would recommend you request a tour with him. We only needed about 6 hours to cover everything, including the shops.
Wow, what a day! The landmarks speak for themselves, truly magnificent and once in a lifetime sights that you must see. Areeg was a lovely and very knowledgeable tour guide and answered all of our constant questions. She really knew her stuff about the history of Egypt and was a pleasure to chat with about Egyptian culture. She obviously has a passion for the job and treated us very much like a new friend. Egyptian hospitality really should be what other cultures model themselves on. We never waited long or in any lines for the attractions and everything from tickets to payment for food etc was organized by the team. We were always on time and never had to worry about anything. Ismael the driver was welcoming and kind and did an amazing job taking us all around Cairo, and even providing us with classic Egyptian snacks and drinks. I couldn’t recommend the team enough for your next tour. Thanks for a day we’ll never forget!
Our tour of Saqqarah, Memphis, and Dahshur with Yousef was a unique and eye-opening experience. Rather than just ticking off famous landmarks, Yousef guided us through the lesser-known stories and secrets of these ancient sites, giving us a deeper appreciation of Egypt’s rich history. His explanations were clear, engaging, and sprinkled with fascinating insights you wouldn’t find in guidebooks. What stood out the most was his patience and flexibility, always making sure we were comfortable and tailoring the experience to suit our interests. A day filled with history, discovery, and unforgettable moments—highly recommend exploring with Yousef!
